I had a great GSR I knocked 15 mins off last years time so I was well pleased. It shows that I have increased my fitness this year when at times it felt like I was going backwards.I watched my daughter run the Junior race and she came in under 19 mins, she is just 10 and is small for her age I was very proud of her, if she had run the big race at that pace she would have finished with her Mummy.
I completed the Great South run...first time at 10 miles and completed in 1 hr 50..very pleased as had never run outside until May of this year. great reading all about other peoples experiences on the forums.
Does anyone have a copy of the results for the Great South Run 1997, or point me to a url with the info on it. Would like to compare my time with this years (and some of my friends times)
Can anyone advise me where i can see the ressults for the GSR? I've been trying onruning.com but they don't seem to be available and onrunning.com don't answer their e-mails! I'm after knowing where i cam in the age groups, plus overall position. Thanks
Just a thought though, have you got excel on your computer, if not then this may be why you can not get to them. If you cant get the results from this page then post a message again.
Dangly Spice, In the local paper results supplement yesterday there is a number to call if there is any query with the results. Not sure if this is the kind of query they can help with but may be worth a try. 01583 702492
Many thanks - managed to locate it from that. I like to keep these figures on my spreadsheet (I know i'm saddddd) I didn't really think, when i saw the result come up on the screen - i just hit the print button.... there's 92 pages printing now!!!
Oh cheers BK! Good luck though as I'm not wearing a URWFRC vest and my number was only attached with two pins (from the hotel first aid box) and therefore kept flapping over!
I got a certficate from the GSR this morning and am so chuffed - in my particular vets category I came 104 out of 184 so am feeling very pleased with myself. Only thing was, the winner in my category was 1 year older than me and completed it in 40 minutes less!
