I am also still waiting. The bad thing is, the deadline for a guaranty place in the Hamburg Marathon is today, and I do not know, if I should apply or not.
I will probably do it with insurance for retreat.

Paitence is a virtue and I'm just not very virtuous!

I can't decide if I should look for somewhere else if I don;t get a place. The whole big event and on my doorstep is part of the attraction - somehow I'm not sure it would be the same doing just any marathon.

At least there is still hope that I won't have to make that decision anyway - how long till the next post is due????

Mine came through this morning and I'm in, although since I was "ill or injured" last year I already knew that. And they've kindly knocked three years off my age for some reason! Odd, as they've got my DOB right!

Seeing the FLM still made my heart skip a beat though!

I first ran the FLM 2000 and not been lucky since, but hey theres mores to running than London, You wait so long for a reply from London and then bang! no go.

I entered the Las Vegas marathon on the net and got a confirmation email the next day.........why is London different.

Mag arrived today .... eyed it up on the doormat ... had the word "Runner" in one corner. Peeked out of window for big "fleece sized parcel. None. Hopes rise.

Made a cup of tea. Approached it gently. Picked up mag.

Just this month's !Runner's World !!!

My wife has just handed me my mag, I was rejected. Apparently it arrived 2 days ago, but she didn't think it was important!!! I guess she was enjoying watching me getting up early to check the post and make her a cuppa. If I'd know I was rejected I wouldn't have been quite so enthusiastic about a cold and wet 10 mile run I did yesterday!

Im still waiting too, how do you think they send them out??? How is it some people have got theirs, and then others get theirs a couple of days later??

Live in Enfield, Middx got my rejection letter yesterday - that was bad enough but to find two other people's rejection envelopes in with my rejection and magazine pack was beyond the pale as I have to pay to forward them on!!!!. So if you live in Cheshire or Ceveland yours will be in the post Monday.Oh and if anyone from FLM has read this or knows "them" and wants to send me an entry for being a good samaritan - please don't be embarresed to contact me !!!!. A genuine "good luck" to those still waiting at least my miseries over for another year. Ho Hum
