Dont think the gritters have been out either - dont think it was expected!! Mind yo u- being out firstish in this weather is better than lastish when its all slushy and skiddy. Thought we had seent he last of this weather .. best the sun is out on Sunday!
I've only done 4 so far, but the hills were huge!(honest)
I have to say i'm pretty happy if my weekly mileage is 10-15. I don't have ambitions to do greater distances at the moment and my body manages that without breaking down too much.
I guess a long run for you is more than my weekly mileage, huh? Well enjoy, come back in one piece.
my hams are tight but plan is anywhere from 10-25 depending how they feel. It is all about targets, when I train for a 5k race I probably only do 20 miles a week and do more cycling but they are nearly all hard miles. Right now I am training for a 55 mile race so I need 50+ miles a week.
don't be so harsh on yourself, it is all about targets for yourself. YOU ARE A RUNNER There are people on here make me look like a fun runner I try to have a rest day every 6-10 days but sometimes I just have a day with no running in it but may still cycle or weight train I encourage people I train to do 1 on 1 off or 2 on 1 off as they progress

At least you get to tuck yourself up in bed when everyone else is trudging to work in the snow :O)

All good fun :¬)
a 55 mile race, hmmm, yes, i must have missed that one, when i was looking for my next event.
NO! please don't give me the link....seriously tho' that's a long run. Good luck with that.
It's good to put your training into perspective, but who does that for you Gobi?
and that keeps everything real.
Most importantly right now I am enjoying my running which gives me the focus to go long :¬)
May go to the gym later tho - unless I can come up with an excuse not to!
No excuses!
I did 2 yesterday but it did not list the second one.
I have another 3-4 miler tonight
note to self must have a rest day SOON
(Thereby stealing/extending Katie's joke.)

are you on nights
ps. I got rained on for the entire run. I HATE RAIN
Y'know, i love running in rain it's great, it's the wind that i hate and being too hot.
Not that keen on it when it's a bit cloudy and the sun keeps going in and out.
Don't like running in the dark.
Er... think I might make this a rest day.
:-)
maybe a controversial cure is called for?
KB you ARE a runner, and an all weather one at that (unlike some I could mention) :OP
I love running in wind/rain/snow just don't like the heat too much
was it for a special "red beard" event?
<shudders at terrible childhood memories>
not that i have any idea what that feels like, ahem..
