I remember when all this was fields. None of this running nonsense back then. Or something.
Actually, I've only been reading this site for about 6 months and if it was all about running I doubt I'd be here half as much as I am. Its actually the random rants, the humour and the unpredictability that keep me coming back. Don't get me wrong, the running advice and the motivation is great too, but I could probably buy a book about that (I hear there's one out in WH Smiths at the moment, £9.99 or thereabouts - thats got to be worth a quote in RW).
I for one like it the way it is - I even like the people who seem to upset everyone else so much, it just adds to the whole community thing.
Don't you Flapper me Jono - I'll report you to Sean for picking on me and then he'll shout at you and then you'll get kicked off the forum and then you'll cry and then you'll lose your home 'cos you'll spend all your money on kleenex.

I used to hug people all the time.
Do you remember when all you could see were brackets? They were warm, cuddly times.

I actually think this could be the perfect thread!
and your stats seem to back it up, ie less than 50% has anything to do with running
i think a thread like this is good once in a while, last time i noticed a 'drop-off' in the inane non-running drivel for a while after.
and why should us uptight types be shouted down for having the temerity to raise the point? eh?? you drivellers can't have it all your own way!!!
interesting that even Sean RW has raised the same point also . bright chap that sean
