Yep, cheers to you too Prue. Was great to have your company and go through the whole nerve-wracking experience with you :-) It certainly was hard work, and I'm knakkered today (though I doubt the wine and cider have helped!!)
I'm still very chuffed with our 16.37 min miles. No bad at all :-)

Doh! I was looking forward to the BEANIE SP run, but I've had my babysitting night swapped to Thursday. Can we either do it Thursday, or have another one next Weds??
Peacewoman and I are going to the Glee Club on Thursday evening for some damn fine comedy but Friday or the weekend are good. Next week I think we've pencilled in Tuesday evening haven't we?
Juicer/Prue - Great running at the weekend both of you
ER - is the ankle back to normal size yet?
Well, I keep thinking next week I might be ready for a little run, and then maybe next week and on it goes...I still have quite a sore spot at the bottom of my rib cage, if you press it it feels like bruising but when I lie down in a certian way it feels like a sharp stitch. Anyone have any ideas, as I'm not certain what the injury is.
Well my new Forest - Solent camping was a washout it rained so much and so hard that even with all our equipment and years of camping experience everything was wet miserable and soggy!
I managed an hours run up the beach in the teeth of torrential rain and a gale - to find at the furthest point the small cliffs had collapsed and trees and bushes were solid on the beach as it was hightide. I had to scramble and climb over unsteady cliff faces and tree trunks just to keep going. Out of the howling wind the New Forest was pleasant and in a steep shetlered area the lillies that grow wild there were giving of a scent that was at times almost chewable it was that thick .
So we came home early - me and Carol got 10K in last night between showers but today we've walked round Cosford all day so I'm missing my run tonight as frankly my legs are killing me. 5K for carol and the girls tomorrow as they have the "Run for Life" at Sandwell sunday.
AA - a good holiday then - missed you at racin the basin , I hadn't a clue what was going on!
Prue - lose weight?? to be brutally honest I've seen more fat on a chip.
My dad always said fat on a chip , perhpas I'm biased but when i think of fat i think much differently than the lithe Prue to be honest - it's all in perception.
Hmm Hay -on -Wye , I've always meant to go . My bookshelf collection is missing a few volumes - the 1969 & 1972 Booker winners , Something to answer for by PH Newby and the "strange" G by john Berger . Then my Booker collection is complete.
The thing is I'm terminally mean so I get all my books form charity shops and never want to pay too much!!
Tumps - me, Mudlark and Jason beanz are off on an adventure to run in the Garburn Trail Race. A point to point run along the mountain passes between Staveley and Windermere in the Lake District. 21km. Really looking forward to it. And should be a bit easier than that killer the Cader Idris race! :-)
But you enjoyed & finished so thats as good a reason as any
I'm running GMFR, entered and forgot Edinburgh Marathon was weekend before, but hey this year will be to explore route, believe there's a hill called 'Cardiac Hill' Expect theres a darn fine reason for that name LOL

Is it just me, or do chips have LOADS of fat :-)
Forget what I said earlier about the weekend - d'oh!
Peacewoman and I have an event at the Hay-On-WyeFestivalon Saturday evening so we're away for the weekend.
Oh and isn't the phrase "I've seen more meat on a butcher's pencil"?
Whatever next?!? ;-)
Hey, if it wasn't for those rich southerners it would be empty:)
who is doing the GMFR this weekend?
And who has entered GMFR?

There were 199 starters. We were 192nd and 193rd. 4 dnf's.
There were 29 women. We were 28th and 29th.
We got beaten by a 73 year old :-)
We took more than twice as long as the winner!!
Naturally elite :-) NOT!! Who cares? :-)
