Hi there! I entered this race online the other day after the race was mentioned at my club so let's add my name to the list.
My next marathon will be the Dublin and I am really looking forward to that. The only other marathon I have entered for at the moment is the London but like everybody else I am waiting to see if my name comes out of the hat. If I get round any of these races inside 5 hours I'll be very happy. My PB is only 4 hours 51 mins, which I did at the Edinburgh marathon in June.
I see this is the first time the race has been held so at least we'll be able to say 'I was there when it started' when we are old and doddery (which is in about 5 years time in my case).
ok. You've talked me into it ... but no idea how i will fit all the training in... just done great north for third year but would love a marathon challenge and the pride of finishing...see you all there
I'm not experienced with races, but I grew up in Mablethorpe and the part that makes me nervous is the 'traffic free = no' part. Thoses roads are lethal even if you're in a tank!!!
Should I be nervous of this or am I being over cautious?
Sorry, I've been out and about trying to find some clothing I can run a marathon in and that will enable me to live should I be hit by a 14 year old driving a clapped out Nova!
This Army surplus stuff is OK but clanking noise really gets on your nerves after a mile!
In all seriousness (is that a word?) - is there a route yet?
