I know it's a long way off, but I'd get in quick because the rumours are true.....No8, the King of Dublin, Member of the Month on www.fetcheveryone.com for October and all round amazing guy is marshalling the same point as last year.
He has won awards for shouting. Honest.

Thinking up some new lines to spur you on ..... may even take a ghetto-blaster out there and have "Amarillo" playing for you!
Soooo looking foward to this, enjoy marshalling as much as racing :0)
Its gonna be noisy in Wootton then.
I wonder if they will change the finish slightly to end up on their brand new 6 lane track. One problem is the track is where the parking used to be so that could be a problem !
I'd like "Ain't no Mountain High Enough" for the way out and "Don't Stop Me Now" for the way back.
:-)
Brooks, I would never compete with No8 on volume. he is the master.
No 8, a suggestion for your ghetto-blaster. Springsteen's 'Born to Run' (predictable), followed by Springsteen's 'Sandy' (the subtitle of 4th July Asbury Park). 'Don't Stop Me Now' is an excellent choice, katieb, I'll go for that. Hang on a sec, though. If your choice of music is too good, I may have to hang around and listen. If you play rubbish, then I'll run past quickly.
Would really like a healthy pb.
:-)
Brooks, yes the finish is planned to be on the track, although we are trying to work out if we can take the heavy duty fencing down to make a big enough entrance ..... although it may be easier to move the pole vault gubbins the other side of the fence then you can all vault the fence to get to the track ...... should be interesting!
Pole Vault is one way, although be careful when you take the covers off the beds. The track is extra spongey around there, in case you fall off, and the wheels on the beds cover tend to bog down unless you steer a precise path (oh the joys of being an official at the Biggleswade AC inaugural meeting as well!)
I think this thread officially requires one.
Rude and Offensive behaviour Act clearly states, that after sniggering has occurred Naughty step must be put in place.
<whispers> Oi MRF, while Miss isn't listening I could do that number, just not that unit of measurement.
Sorry Miss, me ? No not me. I didn't say anything, just sniffing 'cos I got a blocked nose
I'm still sniggering (yes again) at the thought of a pole station which No 8 has hinted at. There will be carnage !
Oy, who's nicked our naughty step?
<storms off>
tsk, if it doesn't wave it's arms around saying "Here I am, here i am, he just can't find it".
Is Yelena on the naughty step? 'cos if so, I am happy to be there AND the rest of you are all excused ... :-)
Would be a great coaching session. First line would be, "so Yelena are you going to help me onto the (vaulting) bed ??" Well if she was a long jumper, it would be, "are you going to send me into the (sand) pit", and that doesn't sound anywhere near as good.
<Rings local council to see if I have to pay council tax if I take up permanent residence on the naughty step>
I am now officially entered and excitedly awaiting my number.
Looks like it's going to be the same crowd as last year. Training is going well so far. I hope No 8 is training his vocal chords to make sure his cheering is as good as last year.
Slow Going #7
Or can i wait a bit?
Will have to confirm and then get entry in if possible.
<The Beast from the Naughty step - the council say I can pay a reduced council tax rate as it counts as a second home :-)>
Love the new pic btw.
