Hi everyone! Taking refuge from the disease ridden Virgin household for a bit... Hope all are well. Caro I'm thinking of you - I remember that feeling only too well.
Have been promising Gatton for AGES that I would organise a meet up for those who fancy it - probably in London as that's going to be easier for the majority, so I just thought I'd see who might be up for it. Then I will start on the tricky bit of trying to find a date to suit...
Yup, JFDI! I have walked 5 miles today and still have another half to do to get M from nursery in a little bit. OK, I did have a rest in Starbucks 1/2 way round, but still Not bad going, and maybe it'll get things moving, you never know!
Snow here yesterday an cold. Did 15.33 miles this morning, had to go off-road as whilst roads were mostly OK, pavements were awful so went cross-country, which whilst snowy/icy was much better grip underfoot.
I am just so glad that I don't have to run because I haven't felt the slightest inclination to! The pavements are now quite treacherous in places round here so am using that as my latest excuse.
Completely lost my motivation last week. Literally woke up last Wednesday morning and thought "No!" and stayed in bed. Happily I am over it now but it was quite a scary thought that I could wake up one morning during marathon training and just not want to run. I even got to the gym on Saturday, started running and after a mile just got off the treadmill. Has anyone else suffered from this?
We all feel like that sometimes Jiminey. Keep at it. Believe me it was a struggle to run 15 miles in the snow on Sun, sometimes you just got to keep plodding away. Did I say it was freezing this morning too around Amesbury!
Many times Jiminey.. just take a break and when you are out and about you will see others jogging around your area and you will want to be like them... Your mojo will return. Don't beat yourself up, it happens to all of us..... good luck and take it easy...

Count me in VB - especially if it means we actually get to meet!
Heard today that I've got a place in the Royal Parks HM - expensive but I guess I'll do it anyway!
Good luck Caro - hope you're well
Congrats Trigg.. yep expensive now a days. My entry for BUPA Birmingham run was over £30 but have to do it as it is on my birthday...
Great to hear from you Cath... looking forward to the great meet up.. Hope the family are getting better...
Off to Hackney today for my first training session for the Olympics..... getting closer.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr chilly out there. Can I be bothered to run tonight? I guess it's just a case of JFDI
or whimp out like Daz!
I was out at 0600 yesterday to do 7.21 miles when it was -4C. It was a challenge lol.
Just done 8.2 miles tonight too at about 1800, it was quite warm at 0C lol.
Try a little jog Caro, might get you going.
Hee hee! I didn't JFDI and I don't care!
Good luck Caro!

Well done you... was at Longleat with Liz and had a good day both weather wise and Liz's running.
The snow can be enjoyed for a wee-while, just then gets messy lol.
Aching a bit now, and the chaffing
But what's that in your hand lol
Hope everyone's staying safe out there! So glad that I'm not marathon training this year - quite grim out there in places.
How's it going Caro?
Getting bored now..........come on baby!
VB/Caro... you both look good to me....xxxxx

You'll soon be at it again and back on schedule.
You rarely see other runners around here lol.
