some people missed the big hill (not me!!) I like the little loop at the start as you get to see your friends run - we will carry on tweaking it to improve the race experience. a couple of minor course changes will take place next year then probably rotate to keep it from going stale for runners.

Hopefully there aren't any glitches with the timing, it was the first time that the tagging software had been used in anger. I did have some quite large log files to trawl through afterwards just to make sure everything looked OK, but any feedback is appreciated.
Improvements already in the pipeline with respect to how the live race results will be displayed. Unfortunately the large monitor we had was of a lower resolution than expected which caused problems with the later finishers disappearing off the edge of the display. Plus I am looking at a better tag construction, although we only seemed to have lost a small handful over the course of the race.
It was my first time of doing the AQM and I really enjoyed it, I thought the course was well signposted and the marshalls were excellent, all in all, great and I will do it again next year. Thanks to all the organisers!
Nix (aka Niki White, right down near the bottom of the list!)
nix - it does not matter where you finish as long as you finish! I was at least 10 (probably 15) minutes slower than i should have been (genuine excuse as well as training laziness!) best atmosphere we have had at the race so far thanks to weather and the more than expected numbers (increase of more than 50+)
it is designed if as a friendly run not a fun run (6 1/2 miles is not fun!) and attract all athletes. we hope to get bigger and better but maintain the right ambience (if that is the right word)
Thanks David - good running! Top 40 is a great effort!
New course was "fun" setting up with a Garmin and Mapmyrun - then having to start off road changed it all again! The joys of being a race organiser ...
Like the new little loop that takes you past the cricket club and the route through the cornfields (some miss the big hill - strange folk!!!) Personally want to get rid of the loop in last field on river bank as hated seeing people ahead of me and hope to get back straight into the cricket club when coming off the road at the end. Sure we will carry on tweaking!
I am now in training for next year - aim is to beat my age!
giving serious thought to setting up an Apperley Running Club - very chilled, runs start at 11 am at the club! need something to get me running properly!

look forward to seeing you next year!
It was my first Quarter and I came in exactly as I had predicted
Last
The inclines from the 2nd water point nearly killed me.
I think any event I do from now on that is over 5k will have to be undertaken in Holland (it's flat )
I did have a couple of people wanting to buy my race number from me, Don't know why
Andy (Aka Andy White race number 69)
It was I bit ironic that 69 did come last You must have been doing somehting right
Andy - lucky for you we took out the hills this year!!!
hope to see you next year running!
Great race and great (new) course.

Dave i think you done tremendous mate, one day we might catch the 2 Jons
i can be pacemaker ... until we get out of the cricket field
giving serious thought to setting up an Apperley Running Club - very chilled, runs start at 11 am at the club! need something to get me running properly!
Cheers JB well chuffed especialy after the surgery and well done to you too. I think you have more chance of catching the Jons.
Rowan yoiu can leave the last loop in the field in just tarmac it flat!
or you could always join Tewkesbury AC Rowan
black and gold not my colours ...
might well join next year if not playing cricket!
Well you can always use it for the winter months least then you will get fit that way
We really do have all levels in the club so feel to run out a couple of times see what you think. Just let someone know that you are coming along.
(you dont have to wear the colours training...and anyway black and gold would of gone well with your outfit on Saturday!)
