Kaz - I had a Friday night slice of coffee and walnut cake (livin' it up, huh?) so hopefully that'll give me a boost for my LSD later. Am impressed with your circuits then run... I'd like to go out now but have to take the kiddies to gymnastics first, then drop them off with my ex.
Morning weedy. It's not raining here yet (Dorset) but hoping it will hold off until I'm allowed out on my run. It doesn't look cold enough for hat and gloves here, but I am sitting on the sofa at the mo and haven't ventured out yet.
Kaz - Sounds like the TV came with added mojo. Great news but go gently, girl
Eggy - DLR is right. Give yourself a complete rest and come back better than ever. You know that, once fit, you've got a locker full of what it takes and that won't go away.
DV - Read about the String run - Utterly Nutterly. Keep us informed.
Weedy - I've been practicing your word for over a week - but I'm a bit of a wimp
Rest day for me today - something I'm quite good at
Holeymoley - I have had hat and gloves on since September?? Now I am double layering the running tights and triple layers on top half..........maybe I am too soft!! Hope your run goes well.
PB5 - it's 26 degrees colder here than where you are at the moment . Icy Edinburgh parkrun - too slippery underfoot for a fast time, especially after the guy in front of me took the corner too fast and landed on his bum.
Eggy - good to hear about the swimming. We're all high performance machines (some of us more than others) and we need careful maintenance. And coated in oil and serviced after 20,000 miles. I should probably stop the metaphors here...
Mornin. Last day of being 39, could do with a service after the 3 days on the bounce training. That Dan Dan Mystery Man is a naughty Dan. I told u hes a fast competitive basket. Went for our first run together for years. I can keep up with him but he goes off so quick. First mile was 8mins. I'm like "cool it man, its a recovery run" anyway it went on like that so I took him up some steep hills and extended the run to 10 miles and he slowed up a bit. He's a monster, about 14.5 stone but not carrying any fat. By about 6 we had a good even pace. And could see he was getting a bit tired towards the end. Fudge me I'm having 3 days rest now. 37 miles this week!
In the words of dancing dad "That has a good beat" dlr
Soft shell ashmei and it is great.
Loved being in the great outdoors wrapped up warm though in jacket, beanie, skins, shorts and base layer also took the precaution of running in my off roadies
had to take the hat off at halfway as I was toasted warm
Febo and I did 12 miles thi s morning in....wait for it...pissing rain and howling wind. Again. I've been soaked to the skin on every run this week but that's 33 miles and week 1 ticked off
And for my next installment of excitement, I'm going to clean the house. Hold me back, somebody...
Well done SR, YM. Winter training brrrrrrrr pissin rain, cold, wind, mud, slushy leaves, dark evenings, all u really wanna do this time of year is comfort eat. Got a hot bath run, gonna yam a couple of crumpets dripping in butter (cholesterol reducing spread) and marmite then hop in for a soak.!
YM - very jealous! Enjoy. Watched Scotland vs RSA at Murrayfield last weekend, was wonderful, and I was neutral. I suspect you're rather more partisan...!
Saw the boys in Rome last weekend, even with Dan on the side they are an impressive bunch. Rugby players are where it's at! None of this hollywood style delicate as a feather football panto.
I've been out for 15 miles today. A slight niggle in my hamstring/glute but hopefully it'll be alright after some 'intense' stretching later on. I'm working on my 'back to backs' this weekend - so i'll be out tomorrow for a 10 miler.
I know that skin is waterproof and it's only rain and wind... but I just wish it wasn't awful weather

Rest day yesterday, much needed and enjoyed.
Moley - Sugar Rush and LSD? Wow

From my mis-spent youth, I'd recommend supplementing your LSD with amphetamines and cocaine, and then listen to some early 90s Belgian techno:

Holeymoley - I'll keep fingers crossed weather holds up for you

You must be on a different plan to me - I only get an annual service.

Oh boy I've just got a ticket for the Wales vs All Blacks game this afternoon
We're gonna get toasted but I get to watch Dan Carter as he does it....
Nothing Neutral about me, my friend....Cymrau am Byth!!!
Jealous...
yer maj I'm sorry to say I saw a news headline that Dan the Man was injured and wouldn't be playing this pm.
Maybe that's my problem, lack of servicing! I must have missed that chapter in P&D.
Come on Wales.

Enjoy Yer_maj and if you need your Dan fix afterwards: http://www.bebo.com/c/photos/view?MemberId=2512592825&PhotoNbr=1&PhotoAlbumId=4754227696 from 2007 but I'll take it.
RW's Northern edition's out. Here's a copy for anyone down south
Hi all,
I've learnt that it's better to not discuss rugby around my family... they're far too opinionated!
@Weedy - another *fantastic* magazine cover!

And as the sole RSA representative here, walloping is what we do well.
