By a million miles Truly, Madly, Deeply. Especially the bloke chatting her up at the end on the South Bank while hopping. Excruciating. I must admit to a passing like of the Starsky and Hutch film, if only for the bit at the party where Starsky keeps going 'Do it. Do it. Do it.' For some reason I forgave the film for that.
Someone above mentioned Match Point but couldn't remember why they hated it. Well, the horrible story. The assumption by a great film-maker that all English people have plummy voices. The terrible allegedly Irish accent of the lead. The awful plot. The lack of empathy with any of the characters. Is that enough?
Royal Tenenbaums I found boring, and I don't mind boring films (for example, I think Tree of Life and To the Wonder, by Terence Malick, are wonderful films - but I appreciate why people might be bored to hell by them).
Now I love to waste an evening watching a modern day B movie but Vanishing on 7th Street was like some sort of obscure and sadistic punishment. I would have turned it off but I was at a friends house.
I realise there are worse films out there - but this one shocked me because Mark Wallburg and Zoe thingy are usually good and M Night had been okay up till this point so it as such a shock that this film even existed - so utterly dire and boring - literally nothing happens.
ANYTHING with Jack Black - with a special mention for Gullivers Travels..... my kids made me watch it.... horrific.
The first Star Wars film was OK - the trouble is that it just keeps going and going and going.
What are there now, 6 with more planned? I could even be wrong, there may be more
In years to come I imagine George Lucas as Comic Book Guy in that episode of The Simpsons where a nuclear bomb hits Springfield, "Ohh, I've wasted my life!"
FWIW I think Peter Jackson needs to leave Middle Earth and do something different, too.
My problem with Star Wars is that even though Space Travel is no problem, they still can't design a laser weapon that can't seem to kill a good guy from 10 feet away. They would be better off throwing stones at them.

It's similar to the way that evil masterminds, on capturing James Bond, insist on explaining their plans in great detail before devising an intricate but ultimately escapable means of killing him, then leave him alone without actually making sure he's dead. Just think, we'd have been spared Roger Moore if Dr No had shown a bit of common sense and just shot Bond in the head.

He did King Kong, which frankly, was unforgivable.
Absolutely agree that The Happening was a real disappointment. I can't stand Zooey Desperatepants in anything (500 Days of Summer made me deeply dislike everything about her talentless acting), but The Happening was just poor on every level.
Comments
freddie got fingered, its just utter shit
sharktopus, its so hillariously amature, the effects look like they were done in Microsoft Paint.
In no particular order
Point Break
The Crow
Being John Malcovich
Agree about skyline and shamed to say I paid to watch it !!
Blair witch 2 awfull.....
The only film I've ever walked out on (from the cinema, that is) was George of the Jungle. I could literally feel my grey matter atrophying.
Another vote for the Royal Tenenbaums - I watched a bit, then fast forwarded through the rest to see if anything happened. It didn't.
Envy - a travesty of a film 'starring' Jack Black and Ben Stiller. Awful, awful film.
Ben Stiller really should be arrested and jailed for crimes against cinema
a lot more than 10 minutes.
i don't have the attention span of a goldfish.
Everyone saying the Royal Tenenbaums just doesn't appreciate cinema.
And how can you possibly say Being John Malkovich is a bad film? It's awesome!
The Royal Tenenbaums is fine, and Rushmore is fantastic, but the rest of Wes Anderson's movies are excruciating.
The worst film i have ever seen is mona lisa smile.
Couldn't get on with The Darjeeling Limited. Bailed out on that one early on.
I can't believe nobody mentioned "The Room". Philistines.
You may enlighten yourselves later this month though http://www.princecharlescinema.com/events/events.php?seasonanchor=room
Ah, but that's a cult classic Candy. I know a guy who's a fan.
Any film starring Steven Seagal is equal worst film ever.
But Eyes wide shut is superb (apart from Tom Cruise's acting but that isn't really the main attraction of the film...)
Just had "End of Days" on in the background. Presumably people paid to see it. Losers.
Even if I had been watching it for the nekkid laydeez, it was still shite
Now First Blood and Rocky(the first) weren't actually that bad. The endless sequelss were terrible though.
One Day
I understand the book is very good although haven't read it - the film however.....

The Core. Makes Star Wars look scientifically plausible.
Dave the Core also makes to dialuge in the star wars films look amazing.
Star Wars could well be the most overated film of all time if not actually the worst(or worse)

That's the well-known Principle of Evil Marksmanship.
