Early PT session this morning. Total of 9lb weight loss and 5% body fat so far.
FANTASTIC!!!! Very well done missus, great work
I've been to the gym twice this week, doing a mostly swimming cos my back is bothering me, and i've been doing the 30 day challenge thing too. Supposed to go to gym tonight to get my third session in, but not sure what to do since my back is sore - think i've pulled the serratus muscles on the left, grrrr. Anyway, i'll figure it out.
I've signed up for a 12 week programme at the gym where we get weekly meal plans (Paleo stuff, hurrah!), meet once to talk about nutrition, get weighed/measured etc., then meet a second time each week to do a group exercise session. Starts 16th Sept. and i'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying to do it on my own, but find it hard, so this suits really well. My pal has signed up too, so that introduces a bit of competition She's got a lot less weight to lose, but I want to do well, and preferably better than everyone else, hahaha. I'll be doing more sessions myself, other than the group one, and want to work on my swim fitness too, and get back to running, so my sock will be getting a good stuffing!
More like a dirty protest here with nothing going into the sock thanks to tendinitis in my ankle and 3 weeks off. 5 lbs on so far so need to stop filling my pie hole until I can train again .
Lee, you have a very focussed sock, Gahzilla, your sock just needs a rest in the drawer. My sock is most damp after a 5K swim race today, a chap won it in 1.01, that is some speedy sock work.
Gazhilla - that's no bad week - don't start beating yourself up yet!
Banked a couple of short runs this week to start on target 4 and a couple of mid length bikes but still got the food (and ergo weight) issues....
Finally might be falling back in love with swimming too after a good session this evening........hope so.......in a very unpiratey way it's my fave discipline
HTFU doesn't work for tendonitis AB, take heed of pain and back off as needed. If you push on through you could be out for months as I have learnt from bitter experience. I hope it eases soon.
Ouchy Ali, go and pop your sock on the poorly shelf until it feels better.
My sock has busted it's balls at Bacchus for the last five days. It's still rather tired so I've sent it back to bed.Should be fine to get going again tomorrow
The running I had stopped and was ready to cope without, but unfortunately the neck issue is horrid and has stopped all activity completely whilst I wait for the NHS cogs to turn and enable me to start the hoop jumping required to get it sorted.
Mind you I have time for weight watchers now and we have a good local private physio who is busy in Hyde Park this weekend but can fit me in next week.
Sock is looking nice and plump doing Lee the Peas 100 squat thing and the Marathon Talk magic mile during this month been a bit lazy on the swim as i have been in land locked Milton Keynes this weekend but sim to start again with a will tomorrow
2 x 20 mins hard effort on the turbo with the obligatory w/u & c/d brings it up to a nice hours work and folloed by an hour on the weights & core afters
Did a 40 minute mixed session on the bike outside. Probably one of the last weekday rides Not looking forward to the first turbo FTP test of the winter .
Depending on how the day pans out tomorrow could be an easy bike + 4km brick, or just the 4km run. 'Long' run moved to Thur as volunteering in London over the weekend.
Sock never appreciates the track until a few days later
Morning all. My sock has emptied slightly as i pulled a muscle in my upper back whilst stretching (!), so it has made exercise a bit tricky, and even the 30 day challenge I was struggling with, but i'm on the mend so getting back on it today. Going to try a Body Balance class at the gym tonight for a change, and cycling to work tomorrow
Sock is understuffed one run session, one challenge day and biking to work. Have cold and serious case of guilt over the lack of running I'm not doing. Will give it til Friday then start again.
Sock needs a neoprene bootee as it got pretty cold in the lake last night, the season is coming to an end I think as it was getting rather dark. Sea swim on 28th Sept which is going to be a cold one.

Schwalbe Durano Plus.
Sock taken for an 8km easy run.

Added in a 10k slow jog tonight in the rain and hail. Felt better than before, thanks for the support.
My sock is crumbly, apparently I have Cervical Spondylosis and Achilles Tendonitis. Deep, deep joy. HTFU and all that.
HTFU doesn't work for tendonitis AB, take heed of pain and back off as needed. If you push on through you could be out for months as I have learnt from bitter experience. I hope it eases soon.

Did you have to help clear up all that naughty wine HC?
Sock nicely filling up with run miles after binning running in June due to Achilles problems.
Ali, I should have stopped in April!
Alas no Kate. Not a snifter. Although my sock (ahem) enjoyed a curry and a couple of beers once we finished

Did a nice sportive round the Brickhills a few years ago ... you need to come further south for some proper hills
Took the sock to track, I'm sure it did it some good.
Nice turbo Melds.

Sock had better start appreciating it, running socks have gone completely to pot over the last few weeks.

Rest day today as the sock is fine but i am goosed although a nice easy trip to the pool is on the plan for tonight

*for about 20 yards but still...
Good going HC!
I went to the club track session last night, and did the 4km warmup. Then went home I reckon another 3 weeks and I'll be back on it.
