I'm sorry if this has been asked but I cannot find decent answers anywhere.
I have been running for about 6 months now and I have just invested in some more comfortable running gear as I am really getting into it. Infact I love it! I purchased some Adidas Ladies Supernova 3/4 length tights.
If I go running every day it seems impractical to wash them on a daily basis. I am also losing weight so I do not want to invest in another pair so what do I do? I haven't been wearing underwear as it rubs but wearing these again after a long run sounds like a UTI waiting to happen.
So my question is to really get advice on what people do or wear? And if there are any tips that anyone can share?
Thank you

I wash it every time.........no way could i put a pair back on that I had worn the day before
even if i had to hand wash then i would wear them
Get another cheap pair of running tights or capris - you don't have to pay a fortune for them.
If you get ones with a drawstring waist they should last quite a while even if you do carry on losing weight.
When I run or gym train there is no way I could put same pair back on NOOOOOOOOO buy some cheapos !!
I don't wear any underwear underneath either , no chaffing at all ,
The more I think about it I can't believe anyone would consider wearing the same shorts twice without underwear....its like wearing the same knickers for a few days.....
yep am with u there ...........
once and once only

Technical kit dries quickly.
I'd not wear the same kit twice and I'm a boy !
Cheap tights from Sports Direct etc. -
+1 for not wearing the same pair without washing

Absolutely. I couldn't even begin to think about wearing the same shorts/tights without washing them
Buy a second pair, or wash them immediately by hand and them hang up to dry, they'll dry overnight.
Yes wash them daily or you'll develop infections and no one likes a mouldy minge
Hahaha
I can see that if you're only joggling along, very easily, for say 30 minutes at a time then you might not get sweaty and might ot feel the need to wash your kit. I, however seem to sweat at the drop of a hat so couldn't manage without washing my kit.
What you could do is just take your kit into the shower with you and give it a 'hand wash' at the same time. If you wring it out well and hang it outside it should be dry by the nexy day and you'll be good to go.
Alternatively, as others have said, Sports Direct do very cheap running tights etc - I think I had a pair from them for about a fiver which actually lasted a year. Also keep an eye on the Lidl / Aldi specials - their running tights are cheap and fine for a year or so.
Glad you're enjoying your running so much!
What about when you're on a cycle/camping holiday in UK and there are no facilities to wash or dry your stuff? Are going to take 7 pairs of shorts with you? Just asking, not saying I've done it...
What I think about wearing running bottoms two (or more!) times in a row (not saying I do ) is this:
- loose shorts with a liner that doesn't end up wedged anywhere UTI-inducing: yes.
- tight lycra keks that give you a front wedgie: no.
I do wear pants under the latter type though as I tried going without but didn't get out the front door before suspecting that they were going to rub in places I'd rather they didn't.
Mikasa, if there are facilities to wash yourself, then there are facilities to wash shorts, surely?
They dry out pretty fast.
If there are no facilties to wash yourself - book a hotel!

I have 3 pairs of capris, so not a problem for running.
However, I had a similar issue with thermals when skiing last year. Solution was to take them into the shower, wash them whilst I washed myself, then wring and hang somewhere warm to dry overnight.
if no showers then there must be a stream.....
things don't dry so well in a small two man tent.... I don't usually go commando, only with proper cycling shorts.
if i wasn't commando them i might well wear the shorts agin with clean underwear.but commando i would have to wash and go
