I'd never trust anyone who spends her life cutting & pasting from the internet irrelevant rubbish
Me too, Millsy. Maybe it's her new favourite film.
I might follow suit and change my name. Could result in some interesting forum names.
Won't you be embarrassed using "Pudge Does Dallas" ?
Maybe it's how long she's been married?
I don't trust any Governement not just the current one, and I won't voice my opinion on Hillsborough as I tend to remember why the grounds were fenced in, the number of people killed in Heysel and the English team involved in that one, and the fact there were no British police there.
Yeah, they shot that poor kid in Tottenham. Poor lad was holding a gun a few minutes before he was shot. Lets let off some white doves for the death of an innocent boy.
It does seem a bit odd to see his mum kissing a white dove on the front of newspapers, as if he her poor boy was gunned down in his pushchair licking an ice cream.
I was being sarcastic about the British police force - as at Heysel no one could blame the police - it was the actions of the fans -
Karen, you're not seriously likening yourself to Solomon Northup are you? How *do* you fit your ego through the door!
Phillybaby....loving the green
Heysel and Hillsborough were both the result of poor crowd control.
The crux of the Hillsborough inquiry, however, is that some of the injured could have been saved but weren't and that various agencies colluded in covering that up.
Football is safer now because of both, that's something to be thankful for.
Oh and BTW I certainly don't trust anybody who says, "fact" when something is a matter of opinion.
I trust the police no more and no less than the general public, in an honesty-vs-corruption-ratio-type-of-judgment kind of way... thing.
And I agree that if you play with guns you're likely to get shot, so I've no sympathy.
And (serious question) why did you change your forum name to 12 years a slave?
Another 'Oh, and by the way', we don't have 'cops' in this country, we have police officers.
I was looking for something on Google so put in 'crooked cops' and this came up
"Find Crooked Cops for less. Shop the way you want it on eBay"
Amazing what you can get on the internet these days!
I am not sure how true this story is but...
I was told that a man was regularly arrested on a Saturday night. He would act as if insane, but when the psychologist turned up he would deny everything and act perfectly sane. As soon as the psychologist went he acted up again. When released he would then taunt police and challenge them to arrest him again!
Eventually whilst locked up a police officer dressed as a clown and asked him what he wanted for breakfast offering a menu! The officer provided what he 'ordered' still dressed as a clown!
Of course when the psychologist turned up the victim complained about the conduct of the officer....
The chap was instantly 'sectioned' and ceased to be a problem, shall we say!
Next question.
Actually I think a more interesting question is whether all police officers should wear cameras.
We should all wear one 24/7 then we can prove our innocence
Even the Police accept that some officers are corrupt. Whether it is 'helping' the prosecution of a known offender by tampering with evidence or actually taking money from criminals. Unfortunately this tiny minority make the job of the majority of honest hardworking officers more difficult.
The fact that there are not too many does not mean the problem does not exist!
Do you not think the Police officer would get fed up with this eventually?
There have been bad cases where the police acted criminally. So obviously they are not completely trustworthy. The police can be arrogant, aggressive and outright liars.
But they do some good work, and even have a sense of humour and justice. Evidence of this is Plegate! That was a good one.
And I would still trust the police rather than the politicians.
Yes, Karen. Please tell us the secret of your name.
