Evening all - lots yesterday, and cranked out an evil session from my 1986 training manual this morning, 20 x 400, on my own on the track with a head torch at 5.15am, tough mentally and physically. But certainly no where near as tough as Charles. Spin tonight, and the good book is saying rest tomorrow, what?!
Morning all - 7.5 miles with 5 x1 mile reps OR 3 PW 2 NW 1 squirrel. Yes MC, disgusting, I had a rest day yesterday. Won't happen again. good luck with the 10K Gobi. Enjoy Norwich PSC. Day of domesticity, with swimming and a birthday do later. Have a marvellous weekend all.
9 miles today - muddy trail run with some decent hills thrown in. NW 1 drift of pigs (had to look up the collective noun!), 1 heron, 4 horses, ZW (zombie watch) 4 - and, for the non-believers, here's the proof (photo taken yesterday)
Rest day yesterday. Started at 5.30 French time and drove to Spalding in Lincolnshire to see my daughter play Lena in Bugsy Malone. Finalky to bed some time after 11pm. Now on way to Southwold for the 10km
Evening all - SOC turbo, NOC run 9.5 miles, with 3 x 2 mile efforts, OR lots NW zero. Swim afterwards. No racing for me yesterday Emmy, recovering after a friend's 40th so a little jog to get the car, turbo trainer and nice lying down at yoga. My brother did his first ever race yesterday, 10K, badly prepared, and was only 1 minute slower than my world's best time, he clearly got the natural runner's genes in the family. Saxon Shore up next, no long runs since the Thames Meander so it could be a struggle. Chris, I am so pleased we have a proper spot on ZW. Did you get your swim MC? No rest for the wicked Gobi.

Just saying
Not quite flat out....... I would have died and I don't want the back straight on a running track to be where it's all over for me.
much pain but very satisfying, these days I doubt I could do them in 80
We exist in different time zones.
Morning you lot
35 mins Steady
Windy, but dry.
Back later
Morning all - nothing for me, long day in London town, chucking it down out there.
Morning Kate
Just off to take sons mountain bike into our local cycle shop for some repairs.
back to blighty tomorrow and need to be in Spalding by 8pm. Will be a long day.
Hi all, A few nice gentle runs for me.
Gobi - What bike lights were you recommending that were over 100GBP?
My colleague is still on the look out and now has a budget over 200GBP. He needs over 1000 lumens and a battery life of 2.5hrs+
safe travels black to blighty.
Birky - what's wrong with your son's bike?
Morning emmy
It's a puncture and I can't get the front wheel off to change it. I haven't got the tools to do the job as it's a Front disc brake.
Goodness that sounds technical. It'll only cost me £12
ran to bend 3 today.
Thanks Gobi! Any specific one that you'd recommend?
Birky - That's a right pain! It does sound technical but then again changing a light bulb can be very technical!
I have this one and race offroad with it but it is only 800lumens
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/exposure-race-mk9/
I have the mk1 version of this light and still use it sometimes
Tools Birky - you dont need tools surely it has a quick release pin on the axle. 1 spoon and the tyre is off ....
What a day, pictures of the last MTB ride are on facebook
Morning
Gobi: Cheers. I needed to put a new tyre on as it was ripped and I couldn't get it off. The shop found it difficult but got it. The bike is fine now
Out with Geordie in a few minutes.
morning all
kate - did you have a rest day yesterday?
gobi - have a safe trip back, good luck with the hunt for employment
I have had a busy few days and haven't had chance to post but have had a few runs and a swim
spinning and swimming this morning followed by a load of marking this afteroon
The exposure Strada is a great light, had mine about 4 years.
Off to norwich for the day. Have camera will travel. Have fun everyone.

Chris - what are they filming?
gobi - that doesn't sound like much of a rest!
was a bit weary yesterday so no run today but will still swim tonight provided I have got most of the way through the massive pile of marking
Morning
Another rainy start to the day. No SOC run but off to the track tonight for 400s/800s.
Maths - it's called Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. There are some more photos on Flickr Zombies
morning all,
thanks for the tips Gobi and PSC
Chris - that looks like a weird movie...
It's starting to get quite dark again in the mornings.
Kate - did you race a20 yesterday?

evening all! When is Saxon Shore? Isn't that down our way - might pop along and give some abuse to any known competitors!
Come along! Probably a space or two left, I'm doing Sat 29th, the nutcases will be doing the Sunday as well.
evening
yes, swam last night, bloody hard session too!
Chris - that film looks a bit like a must miss!!
Morning all - turbo and core, track tonight. On site this morning, I think it's going to be a chilly one.
