Not quite sure what you mean Ecce: I'm trying for 2014k and will almost certainly fall short, not that that is the end of the world! There is always 2015! Shame that there isn't a WAVA related 2014 target!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Just spotted this thread. I think i "might" be on to reach 2014 km in 2014. I've clocked up 1009 miles (1623km) so far. So have another 243 miles left to go in the remaining 7 and half weeks. Should be managable.
Well done to everyone who's completed the challenge!
I'm now up to 700 km, which, with my newly revised post accident target of 1007, leaves me 307 km to go.
With 51 days in the year, and me being able to run a little further week by week, this may be possible, but it's not looking too promising! I'll keep plodding on and see how far I can get, there's always next year
half marathon for me this morning on the Palm, was in the high 20s with loads of boats and kayakers out. Really was very nice and my second half of the week. Not sure of my total but feeling confident I'll make it and pass it.
Just noticed this thread, my target for they year has always been 2000 miles so will need to find an extra 14 now. Trying to get there by xmas day so I can have a week off for eating and drinking
Miles/kilometres are ticking off nicely. 5k with my 8 year old yesterday and an off road 8k in the desert after work today. Really enjoying my running at the minute.
Now sitting outside in shorts having a beer with the barbie on, enjoy the UK weather guys!! (Sorry couldn't help myself!)
Just bringing up 2500 miles at end of this month- was aiming for 3000 up to July but decided to work on speed a bit rather than just distance- paid off with a few recent pb's and an ok Snod marathon
2,500 miles is still way further than I'll probably ever run in 12 months running eye
AgentG, at booktrunk says, it might be tight but get out there and do it
Well, my 100 mile target in November was (badly) missed - 1 days running out of the last 9 put paid to that. Maybe some more R&R then get stuck into December ready for 2015 and new goals/targets
Just discovered this thread and it prompted me to check my own mileage for this year.
After this mornings run, I'm up to 1490.4 miles, apparently, which was a pleasant surprise.
I'd fancy giving 2015 a bash next year, especially since I'm in for Lakeland 100 and White Rose 100 already - so between those two and the training needed for them, I reckon I could have an outside chance

Well done, in advance, Booktrunk!

Hehe WAVA 2014 in 2014.... Have until mid February 2015
alehouse, I meant remove the 9 weeks of no running miles from your target, that gives a revised target of 1665 over the 43 running weeks
Ecce: remove the 52 weeks of injury and illness and we all make the target!
Booktrunk: re WAVA, I suspect I have until mid February 2016 then!
Alehouse, don't get much considering how ecce smashed it at how ancient 55/56?
BT: I'm nearly 16...sorry, nearly 61.

Welcome to the thread AgentGinger, good luck
Nice one BT!
Well done booktrunk!
Welcome AgentG
Congratulations Steph and welcome to the 2014 gang (do I sense a gap in the T-shirt market??). Oh, I had to check and I'm 55.
yes 2014km t-shirts needed
long rubs taken a blow recently with lots of visitors from the UK and beer and barbies taking over. Getting back on track with 400k to go.
Ohh 400km... You,ve been averaging around 150-160 a month so do-able but hard work, good luck Dubai
Thanks, think I can do it!

So..... How is it going?
i've had a consistent month after getting to the total, so am now around 2160km
Second slow month on the bounce here but might just break 100 miles.
2529k thus far. Definately going to be up for 2015 in 2015 and currently working on goals that (sort of) follow world record times!
Just bringing up 2500 miles at end of this month- was aiming for 3000 up to July but decided to work on speed a bit rather than just distance- paid off with a few recent pb's and an ok Snod marathon
last night's run home tipped me 2 miles over 1100 miles for the year, just another 150 to go.
Ohhhhhh.... it's a little tight AgentG
you've pretty much averaged 100 per month... Gotta squeeze that extra 50m in
