Rach, I dont like typing or thinking about what i have to do in the plan image

Westy - thats the spirit!!! In that case I will revise my 3:59....

  • Options

Rachel - sounds like your BIL has had a rough time. thats impressive to get out there so soon

ACP - Mcmillan suggest 8.22mm based on your 10k time

Good luck avoiding the puke bug Westy.

Expat - that's the kind of shuffling I do - add some warm up and cool down to your 10k race to bump your miles up if possible.

    Wenty - proper target please.

5 miles yesterday and 10 planned for later. ticking over nicely now...

  • Options

Hmmm OK Menn I will target 3:09 - Yes you saw it here first folks!!!! image

Need to loose a stone and stick to the plan - Stick to the plan.... Stick to the plan.... Stick to the plan. Well sort of. image

just done 10 miles LT at lunchtime so sticking to the plan today image

Get well soon rachelcgen, smart move not heading out in the cold.

12 miles earlier at 8.01 pace earlier passed without incident after meeting Belfast's angriest woman driving her car at me on my 9 miler yesterday... She had plenty of colourful language and 'bird gestures' as she turned Into a side street that I was already halfway across. Must have got a bag of coal for XMAS or something image

Nice yearly mileage StewartC, I'll be totting mine up tomorrow (well, those nice people at Garmin will).

Glad you survived the maniac Fergster

Good mileage being clocked from all image

13.01 miles at 7:36 average this morning. Very pleased with this, near the top end of the pace zones and didn't feel like I was pushing it. Now to prepare myself for tonightimage

Just finished my final run of the year to bring me to a total of 2,414 miles image.

That's a good pace Scott - I was looking last night and I'm currently running between the middle and slow end of the range, so I'll have to buck my notions up image.

acp,  a half hour swim would see me laid up for about a week!

Anyhoo, on to tonight's celebrations in a break from the norm. Happy New Year threadsters! image

A win at golf pays for my first pint later, yippee!

Thats a lot of exercise so soon after giving blood acp, well done,  done image

Thats a big yearly total Fergster and yeah today's run just felt easy, if only it was always like that eh

Happy New Year threadsters and have a great nightimage

Happy new year all and hello. I am usingP&D 18/70 forLondon, same as last year, aiming around 3:05 if all goes well. At the mo I'm easing back up to full mileage after mild injury lay-off (antsy arse).

    Happy new year fellow P+Ders!

Haven't been on for a few days due to a recurrence of the pre Christmas lurgy. First time I've missed runs due to illness for the year so on average it's not too bad.

Will make sure I'm fully recovered and start with week 3 next week. I don't log every mile I run but think I must have averaged somewhere between 45-50 miles a week for 2014 which should provide a great base for next years Marathon PB attempt.

    Happy new year all PnDers

    2743 miles for 2014 brought up with a 13.1 @ 7:23 mm pace.

Just entered my favourite marathon SNOD so a good start to the year!!

2015. Started the year with a massive poop.

Managed to stay up to 5 past midnight last night.

    New year resolutions:

    Less booze.
    Less meat.
    Less stress.
    More love.

and still be running by the end of it.

6mi jog later in good old English cold rain and mud. Lovely.

Think I might stick with 55-70 after all, looking at 70-85 the only main difference is the double day the day after the long run, which would fall on a sunday for me, and not sure I can or want to be running at all on a sunday, let alone twice. Will revise my time to 2.50 for now though, although this subject to change also.

Hope you feel better soon Millsy.

I also don't log every mile now, infact I only wear garmin if I don't know the distance already or I have to run at specific paces.

Our house was flipping freezing when we got back yesterday.

Better walk the dog now. He's a bit mentally scarred from being apart from his master (i.e. me). Either that or he's a bit disappointed I'm back.

Happy New Year thread. Just about to venture out for a 6 mile recovery run image

Happy New Year - hope all your runnings go well image

Westy  -I like the simplicity of your 2015 plans.

HNY All, and thanks Macca. I've not actually signed up to MK yet but that's my intended race.

2014 miles were 700, with circa 2,300 bike miles as well. Plan is to treble the running miles.

Week 1 for me and I am already rehashing the programme. Tried the rearranged LT session via a run to and from Parkrun (17.57) today. It was a slippery and windy affair and felt like hard work; only one dog was hurdled.

HNY P&Ders! Woke up with stinking hangover after having first drink in 12 months! Only had 1 glass of champagne but needed a pint of water, cup of tea and 2 paracetamols before I could venture out on my LT run. Was debating whether to do club timed 10k on Saturday instead but decided to 'woman up' and go for it. Still struggle to get up to target pace but managed splits of 7:15, 7:00, 7:11 and 7:05 for the threshold bit.

NY resolution is to get a dog this year. Westy, I'll have yours if he's looking for a new master.

Happy New Year fellow P&Ders well done to all that ventured out today after last nights festivities, it was supposed to be a recovery run today, but stretched it out to 7.5 miles @ around MP, it was a good run with some fellow joggies along the canal there was lots of puddles and a brutal headwind on the outward leg, average pace was around 8:40's a good start to the year.

Last night's great idea was to drink copious amounts of champagne, cider, red wine and Aftershock. This morning's even better idea was to never repeat last night's good idea ever again image

After a ropey morning, plenty of bread and a healthy dose of David Attenborough / dozing on the sofa, I eventually managed to get out for my 9 GA miles earlier. Feeling much better now. Good to see that I'm not the only one suffering today image.

Enough of all this crap food and drinking, there's a race a comin'!

Thanks Westy, don't send via City Link. I'm still waiting for the selfie stick I ordered 2 weeks before Xmas for my son.
