Just got back from a week there. Did some cycling including some of the bits I didn't do in 2013. I'm staying at the Princess Ico apartments which are just across the road from Club Oceano and are owned by the same people.
Unfortunately due to how my shifts fall I'm going out the week before and staying Monday to Monday as I want to go to the awards dinner (not to pick one up, just have a beer and some grub!)
Blue Peter I follow you on Twitter and see you are doing the crazy Tour of Sufferlandria. Wait until you get to Blender and ISLAGIATT!!
Training going ok but nothing spectacular! Seem to have caught a bug the last few days which has made me struggle for power. Having a couple of rest days to try and recover.
Staying at Oceano apartments with the family and not arriving until the thursday evening before the race so not much time to adapt.
Really looking forward to it as it's always been on my bucket list
Not long now eh injury's galore dictate that yet again i wont we making the finish .. but as its booked and its all non refundable i'm going to go and enjoy the swim and as much of the ride as i can manage before the "bus of disappointment" picks me up (or not as was the case last year) . Anyone else at club oceano this year ?
a hilly and windy 75 miles through Kent for me this weekend .. nice and sunny though. Pace was a bit too slow for IM cut offs so some work to do in the next few weeks
OK...85 mile Sportive done on Sunday and then 15 mile run done yesterday. Nothing spectacular but it's steady training and I'm trying to be injury free for the race.
Swimming is same as usual..very slow but I'm trying to build some endurance to simply get me round.
Entered the Three counties 100 mile sportive this weekend and will be hoping to do a longer run the day after...we'll see
Hope everyone is doing well and training hard...not long now!
planning on getting a taxi from PDC over to club la santa to register on the thurs .. relatively quick trip to register , have a quick nose around the expo then head back to PDC. If anyone wants to cab share PM me , cheers
It ws a bit warm in Mallorca last week whilst watching the 70.3. What will be will be I suppose, I've trained in the cheshire winds but the heat will be another thing
Zakalwe-Outlaw number 369, bloody hell it is windy here. Confidence was nudged by the bloke who had raced here five times saying he had never seen it so windy! Oh well....

Bug knocked me for 6 last week and now my local pool is closed... The bike work seems to be paying off so it is not all bad news.
Feeling nervous about this one, I think because I am a bit race rusty this early in the season.

Character building ride yesterday in Lanzo'esque winds.
Same for me Dave. Managed 100 miles in the end but struggled badly in a relentless headwind for three hours of it! Better get used to it I suppose
Is it time to start swimming yet
