that was when I could still ride a bike and cycled up the tumble without any problems.........
that was the last day I rode it and didnt get back on again until the DIY this year ... wishing I hadnt stopped cycling now.....im struggling to get back to business
If its the same as last year there is one bike feed station. Also on cut-offs if the same as last year standard BTF cut-offs are in place as long as you are still moving forward and not massively off the pace you'll be okay
I measured last years course as 82km for the Little Woody so guess around 160km for the Big Woody due to doing the the dog leg only once. English Bicknor has been repaired so they may go back to the original course which was 85/163 and can be found here http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5627251
I was tempted to call and downgrade to the little woody from the big.but then thought why not try the big.......i dont care if they take me out on the broom wagon...it should be a good weekend,,,...
Might see you all out and about on the course, unfortunately my kids aren't around this year so it won't be a full pirate support crew. Just me, maybe on my bike.
'so Ok I am not fussy and will support anyone I come into contact with. Whether they want it or not. I am usually at the top of any big hills on the route.

If Trev is measuring how close to 140.6 will it be ?
Why isn't it a full iron man distance I'd be really pissed off doing it and not being able to say to myself ive completed an ironman
its always been short on run and bike and long on swim...I accept that....the distances are there on the website......

I didnt realise there were any standard BTF cutoffs.each race i do seems to have different cutoffs and different total times allowed
Pub on route ?
Ask for a beer stop midway en route!
Don't need too, I'm a pirate .. The first ever Big Woody coach Barlos rode in front of me on the run waving bottles of Stella
He had cans of stella in his bottle cages ..
Stupidly I entered the Whittle woody twice, do I speak to Trevor and see if I can upgrade to the Woody or stick to the Whittle. I just can't decide!?
depends on the weather
today or race day
you think to wait till Friday before? I was tempted to call sooner just to see if I could
if you are tempted then call

Im doing the Whittle, so if you do stick with that you won't be only one from here doing it
It should be a good weekend if not hard. I'm really looking forward to it!

I don't have any pirate kit so will probably pass by under the radar
