Well the good news is all done unscathed, I hope. 4:25 was nothing to write home about but the best part of 27 damp and undulating miles all done. Knee feels ok, but now time for some TLC to make sure it stays that way. Very social today and enjoyed a gentle bimble round with good company. #231.
18.5 mile trailer ride today with me towing all the way. Gorgeous weather, a first pub for lunch and a lovely play park at the end for Physlet. Great day all round.
Quiet couple of days here, off to Kent tomorrow morning for a off road, lapped marathon tomorrow starting at 1700. Did it last year and is always fun running day into night, albeit hopefully not too much in darkness. Looks like might get a little wet before we finish but pressure is on to get back for dinner at the hotel
Managed to beat the worst of the rain. I think the far SE got the rain last and just had a bit of light drizzle. Ran 5 laps with Guy at about 3:50 pace before I pushed on for the last 3 laps and finished in an easy 3:38. Nice to run a couple of laps with head torch and a 1700 start makes it interesting, especially after a 5 hour journey! Good fun though and #232 in the bag.
Tooth extracted this morning so a bit sore and not allowed to run today. Got to get all these things sorted whilst the Queen is still kind enough to pay.
Ooh, tooth extraction, not nice! Well done on the podium finish again.
Im not sure about the Titus Trot Paul, not heard of it, but I do have some running to report.... !!!! My pelvis has been feeling much better so I thought I'd test it again with a little 3 miler. I was a bit slow but I did enjoy it. Not going to make any event plans yet though, tempting though it is.
I also did another night ride last night too, 9 miles in the woods around Bingley with bike lights, good fun.
A very wet, muddy and windy trail marathon today on the hills west of Weymouth. Easy paced run with Guy but coasted to joint 1st place, stunning 30m views in the clag. #233.
That sounds like a lovely marathon ...Not. Maybe worth it for a joint 1st place though.
i've had a poor week after my brief foray back into the running world... I got a throat infection. I managed a short trailer ride yesterday, with E towing. Then was set up for another night ride tonight, but my friend turned up without working lights so we had a cup of tea instead. I was a bit disappointmented but actually it may be a good thing as I don't think Im properly over my cold
25,working days ever???!!! I didon't realise it was that imminent. Wow.
Throat infection has been lingering as everything I get seems to nowadays. I've got through work but thats been it. i am feeling much better today tbough, so hoping to get some exercite in tomorrow.
Tired legs this morning, after 6 days running out of the last 7, including some fast mileage. Another 6.2 on the treadie was fun though - just 44 miles for the week but all quality miles.
Hmm - just 44 miles.... Well I did another little 3 miler at 7.30 this morning. It was beautiful with blue skies and a cloud inversion in the valley. I'm glad I was going far enough To choose the canal route, it would, have been freezing and foggy down there!
There's way you can stay retired, you will get bored surely. Or MrsA will go mad!

Blimey, well done Paul. It must have felt like forever taking that long, but I'm glad to hear that the knee seems OK so far.
How is the knee today?

Sounds like a good week of training, good luck for the marathon to tomorrow.
Not a good week here, E's energy took a nose dive, affecting all the family, so no spare time for exercise.
I hope the weather is kind to you.
I manged to sneak longer commute on by bike today, after Physlet got up at 5.45!!
i hope your weather is better than ours, I got drenched on the way home.

Very hot 7.6 miler on the treadie tonight, quick and an incline made it a good workout along the lady 12km of the Prague Marathon route.

Steady 8 miler tonight with the club, so humid.
Marathon free weekend for a change, off to Cyprus on Thurs so hopefully an easy week coming up. 25 working days left
