Morning.
Lyrics - Everyone's got a combination
Your holiday sounds great chicksta. I find walking hard on the legs too, different than running miles.
What: short and easy
Why: tapering
Last hard: having to plan/enter things so far in advance
Last rest: 14/10
Yesterday's lyrics - It's Only Natural - Crowded House.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Glad you've booked York, LMH!
What: 6k, possibly
Why: part of M73 friend's long run. Will be my furthest continuous run since I don't know when! Definitely not this year!
Lyrics: no
Looks like another lovely autumnal day.
Don - that sounds like a cracking XC, it's definitely my favourite type of racing
Benjy - are we still allowed to mix with you now after your TV fame?
Ale - quite right, it was glorious in Manchester on Saturday!
What - easy lunchtime
Why - caution - slight niggle in knee/thigh, possibly ITB. Never had problems there before but had a couple of shooting pains up the left leg yesterday so we'll see how it goes today.
It was making all sorts of clicking and popping noises doing knee lifts earlier too. Maybe I'm just falling apart.
Last rest - arguably Saturday (see below)
Last hard - yesterday: 12.5 trail miles
Drove up to Manchester early Saturday and delighted to see 50mph restrictions on the M6 for about 80 miles, due to finish in Spring 2022 (or when youngest finishes Uni!). 7 people spotted working. That said, at least it was free flowing, about 3 1/2 hours.
Shuttle Bus from Old Trafford to MMU for the usual tour and presentations on courses. Wandered up to the University as well which she visited 3 weeks ago. So as it stands Manchester Uni first choice, MMU second choice but have yet to visit Birmingham and Southampton. She is already envisaging herself in town though, so I'm sure this is where she'll end up. Spot of shopping before eldest and boyfriend came over from Leeds for some dinner before heading back to the Premier Inn about 11pm.
No running but apparently we walked 13km.
Glad Manchester went well Dustin. My daughter loved Birmingham though!
What: 6.31k. First half nice and easy, then I turned back. Pushed the penultimate km.
Why: trying to up the distance with a little help from a friend.
It's Monday
Last hard Saturday
Last rest from running yesterday (still swam)
Lyrics no
50 mph winds here today with hail yesterday but 16°C on Saturday evening.
SC: I hope you enjoyed your weekend away any races?
Benjy: Fame fancy photo bombing on TV....:_)Those new fangled watches sound ace what a shame about only storing 7 activites. You must upload after each run or at least once a week?
Chick : Really You never knew Richard Burton was a runner...LOL It is situated in his home town in Wales;-)
What 6 miles
Why: Because I can no better reason
Last hard: Foot, flooding illness, missing races
Lyrics: Nope
My legs are really on fire at the moment each run is faster than the last....just waiting for the big girl pants run;-)
I have entered GSR for 2019;-)
Miles makes smiles.
Progression
wow Poppy wish I could say the same about my legs lol! What a great feeling eh?
benjy blimey that's poor! I hope mine isn't like that, I don't think it is actually. Hope today's run is good and hope daughter's knee is ok
alehouse nice one with the 6 + k run!
dustin h ope your knee is ok, wow busy weekend
lmh, enjoy the short and easy
what: very short and easy this morning
why: need to get home early and do my garden :-(
last hard: this morning
last rest: 31/12/16
Don't know what I was thinking of this morning , I entered Brighton Marathon and its flipping expensive!!
How was Chingford League, Wabo? Brighton? Charity place? Better get those long runs consistently and progressively sorted!
And nice day for gardening here, also...as long as you are in the sun.
A 230 will do all those things (more or less) Benjy. I usually upload daily and write in a paper training diary too - would have been caught out whilst on holiday though as didn't upload for two weeks. Frustrating. Mark may do the ten mile at York too though I'm not betting on it.
Good on you getting your entries in Wabo and Poppy.
Nice to see your long run building Alehouse.
What a change in the weather OH.
This morning's run was better than yesterday - which was a relief!
Fairly wild now - will be interesting to see if anyone else turns up ...
Couple of days of rest here as cold has progressed to a rather nasty cough.
Lmh I really enjoyed York
Wabo wow go you!
Benjy how frustrating.
Have a lovely evening all
And get well, Emz!
I hope someone else turns up to keep you company OH.
Get well soon emzap. Are you planning on running York again next year?
