Middle of February already and freezing cold in Germany (minus 6 this morning). Yesterday I reported I was feeling a little rough. Got home and mooched around for half an hour but then decided to go for a jog. As usual once I got out I actually felt OK and then felt much better afterwards (usually the case) with no ill effects today.
Today: Cross training (bike + rowing)
Why: Current schedule demands it.

Well? What are you waiting for? Get running!
Club run last night was the hills of Lancaster and they're not undulating they are b!!!!y steep, feel as if I'm improving as I'm not always the last one to the top anymore.
What: 4 miles tempo.
Why: One of my key sessions.
Last hard: Sunday (long run).
Last rest: Yesterday.
I can still feel the effects of Sunday's long run on my thigh muscles, but think I'm probably OK for a paced run tonight.

Grey, drizzle and misty here today - in fact I can see less out of my window now than I could first thing this morning. Maybe it'll cheer up later.
What: Club run this evening probably 5-6 mile tempo
Why: cos it's Wednesday
Last hard: Long run Sunday I suppose
Last easy: nothing Monday or Tuesday
Have a good one
What: nothing
Why: throat bug seems to have taken root. Not too bad during the day, then start to get "hard" feeling in throat in the evening.
In myself, I feel OK - actually felt worse at times when training for Helsby - but I know from bitter experience if I went out & did a session this evening, throat would get worse.
Very frustrating. Not sure how long I can put up with this before going to GP & demanding erythromycin/amoxycillin .
last hard day: Fri
last long day: Sun
last rest day: Mon, Tue,.......?
Take care everyone else.
What: gym, x-train, 1 hour (if I can get there, worse traffic jam since the last ice-age here in Notts, so no guarantee that I'll actually be able to get to the gym).
Last hard run: Last night
Last rest day: Yesterday
are you alright?
That's a very brief entry!
What: 5 miles at very easy pace - for the first three, I was definitely a jogger.
Why: cos my ISP was down and I couldn't get online, I thought I could spare an hour, my legs felt antsy, and despite not planning to run today I just happened to have a bag of kit
Last rest: Sunday.
Last hard day: Saturday.
BodyPump and a little paddle in the pool tonight, time permitting.
What: 11 mile tempo run on treadmill
Why: midweek long run
Last hard: Monday's Y800's
Last rest: Friday
Lunchtime gym session involved 2.5 minutes (yes I said 2.5 minuites) running and so far no pain. Fingers crossed it will not hurt by tomorrow so I might be able to do 2 sessions of 2.5 minutes.
Still its more than nothing.
what- 40 mins steady recovery
why- tired legs
last hard-CRAP speed session last night
last rest-sunday
ENJOY
Hope throat gets better soon Mike, if it's a virus antibiotics are a waste of time anyway, but then you probably already knew that.
What: 1 hr 40 mins hilly off road.
Why: Swapped favours with a friend, dumped ailing daughter (not as cruel as it sounds, she was quite happy sitting there making 'secret' Valentine's cards with her friend who's also got a cold) and decided visibility was too poor for road running. It really is amazing when you get the inverted cloud effect in the valleys and look down on a blanket of cloud whilst running under a blue sky, more or less.
Pondering the mysteries of life - how can anyone run at 5 am, and, what was an ice age traffic jam like?
