re. your advice to go home now, Jellyman - the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police has just advised everyone to stay where they are until further notice.
My daughter was stuck on the tube in Camden for two hours this morning but got into work, and I've suggested she walks home early this afternoon, after that advice changes.
not so bad...bit of mare getting home last night...walked for 2 hrs!! still did an hours run when i got home but not very fast! got in at 10.30 today. I LOVE LONDON i really do. i think i need a drink tonight...even though as you saw over the weekend I dont drink. how are you? Im doing an aquathon tomorrow so may actually drown.
guy-not that bad...walked a fair way...i just live and work in stupid places...i live in enfield and work in knightsbridge and the routes not very direct. bet youre glad you dont work in london!! am raelly ready for the weekend (even though ive onyl done 4 days this week...) Is it not a bit of an anticlimax for you as well-having been on holiday for a week then back to england.
but if i lived where jelly bean lives i would love it...its like a holiday cottage!
I'm quite lucky in that I have a 10 minute bike ride from Richmond to Twickenham - although was completely knackered last night. I'm already looking forward to the weekend and I'll only have done a 2 day week !! But, yeah a real anti-climax all in all.
Hello Guy, I'm good, yep it is like a holiday cottage Laurac......the cutlery doesn't match.....the electric is 50p in the slot.......smells of damp.....
We spent a few extra days in Le T after you guys left, and I only got back from France late Wednesday evening. It's been a long day and a half so far. roll on 5.30...
Hi folks. Got lucky wiht the trains yesterday. Was in by 7:30 and caught one of the first trains out of Liverpool St around five.
Had planned to walk to Finsbury Park and get a lift from a friend. Thank god I didn't have to.
All city sports shops were selling out of running shoes. People just expected to walk miles to get home. I've never seen it so quiet. Luckily I'm working(!?) from home today.
No Guy was just talking about being in France and then an "anti climax". Staying in France is the real reason he is knackered, it has nothing to do with work (ask Rach, she'll tell yer!)....
Weather was pretty much the same. Overcast and windy mostly and tending to clear up late afternoon.
We were lucky with the weather for the race though. I did the 10k course on the Monday and the wind was so strong along the front (the stretch from the caravan park to the drinks station) that it felt like someone was literally holding me back. I went from sub 6 minute mile pace with the wind to 9 m/m + into it.
Thank God i got back to the apartment to be greeted with a much needed isotonic Pimms

Laurac you'd die of boredom out here, really.
I need something to look forward to! And soon I think.
Morning all!

Glad you enjoyed Le T Guy.
JB, does this mean you're on the mend?
