all i can say to that FB is bl**dy tri belts, it constantly moved round, in fact it seemed to be around the side / back on the run and at the front for the cycle... grhh!... however I should have been d'qd for loosing so many places in the cycle... either that or given an award for managing to losse so many places!!
tribelts can be a pain Spans as you have now found.....do what Petal does and drop it onto your hips for the run as it doesn't seem to move around as much then.........
now, with a bit of work on the bike you could be a top 3 contender........
I wondered who the pirates I spotted were, well done to you two, and to everyone else who finished, I managed to just miss my target of 2hrs (finished in 2.00.05), but considering it was an extra km to run and almost 2km extra cycle, I'm pretty happy overall.
As my first experience of multi-discipline racing I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to do another one.
OK, I'm looking at doing another one now before the end of the season and there seem to be 2 obvious candidates for me, both on October 30th: The Primera New Forest and the Jekyll and Hyde in Hyde Park. Anyone know anything about these (I can't find any threads on them)?
Suppose not Cougie hadn't thought about that. Still gives me lots of time to do more training for the next one!
Thanks Richard I am going to do the Reindeer run in December (I live in Wales) but am not a big fan of off road! I hate mud reminds me too much of school cross country, which was a time when I would do anything to avoid running.
Taa Godzilla. Actually on the site they have last year's results and it looks like the October race is a lot easier/shorter. think I might go for the Hyde Park one though - easier
They have amended the results and not only have I gained 5 places overall, i have also gained 2 female places to make me perhaps 5th!
Was sorely tempted to go out and buy myself a bike on saturday after the event so that I can improved... but had to remind myself that apparently I have other targets first... but next year I will do more than 2 training sessions on the bike before the event!!

I wasnt one of the quickest but as it was my birthday I had a brilliant time.
Saw Godz and Spans. Big admiration to you both. Well done to us all
What a fantastically organised race. Will do it again next year!!
Well done Chris.
How did everyone else do?
SusieBee I can't see you in the results were you there?
and is that a sprint finish I detect from 'Zilla??
now, with a bit of work on the bike you could be a top 3 contender........

Will any of you be doing the Duathlon in Ipswich next weekend?
true Gumps, but as I want to get my 10k time down I need to concentrate on that and not get distracted...
