That should have read NOT slower not now slower... although we'll have to see how I get on. The race is this afternoon. Not sure if I prefer that tining or not!
Did the 10K in Linlithgow, took minutes off last years time but not a PB for that distance, hey ho you can't win em all. Was 49.39. Kinda happy kinda not. It's quite a hilly course (excuse #1), got a nice red long sleeve t-shirt! Hooray
Met up with club folks again and they were really nice.
I didn't get to run today, spent a nice 3 hours in the rain this morning marshalling. Was the local Quicksand 15 miles over the beaches, looked tough from the state of the runners! Mr Cinders was very nice and brought me a flask of coffee and my waterproof bottoms!
KP - well done, even though you didn't do as I asked and do 46 minutes! Sounds tough - too tough for me anyway.
Hippo - well done - what was your time? Have I missed it?
I did the midargyll tri. It was great. The briefing warned of possible lock gates being open and a herd of highland cattle loose on the bike route! None of these materialised though.
It was 500m swim, 20k bike and 6.5 k run. I did fine in the swim and the bike and abysmally in the run as usual. Final time 1.34. Met Nessie and Hamsterjam too.
Sorry KP, well done on your 10k. I think that's a fab time! I thought I'd congratulated you already but have just read back and it seems thought was all I did!
Just read race report Hippo, well done . How do you manage to remember so much? When I finish a race it all becomes a blur and at GNR I actually lost sections of memory (quite worrying!).
My hubby missed me finishing GNR - he was watching the red arrows! Men.
Hippo - will put Anglesey in the diary for next year, only reason I didn't do it this year as it should have been week after Hull. Great finishing time, that's a seasons best for you, isn't it?
Well done to Hipps and KP on your runs - I went to Anglesey on hols when I was small - sounds a good place for a run? Well done Debbo ony our tri - the whole idea of tri's sound to difficult to me!!
We went down to Dorset again at the weekend and walked the route of the Beast race that I did a couple of weeks ago - I was amazed I managed to get us round without getting us lost (well apart from a little bit at the end!!). It is also interesting to see the scenery - you really don't get to see much when you are running - I am always to busy looking at the ground to appreciate what is around me. It took us 5 hours to walk it so my 2:50 time was quite OK in retrospect.
I also bought a copy of Feet in the Clouds on Sat, I really think I prefer off road running and races these days. Whether I could do much fell running though I am not sure!!

Good luck Katypie today (and anyone else that's racing)
Thanks for the well wishes.
I wonder how Debbo is getting on?
I think Hippo is marathoning today, so wondering how she got on?
She's got more guts than me.
