My days of staying up after midnight and drinking myself silly are long gone.

I'm sure I could work out a program for you to get from one bottle to six in just a couple of weeks!
Would that involve any interval training - e.g. 4 x 1 pint lager in 60 secs with 5 min recoveries?
Agree with the drinking plenty of water bit. I try and drink as much volume in water as I have in beer on a given night. It does help.
Best Hangover cure...don't drink to much.......bahhh humbug...

Why would I want beta blockers just for a hang over. Bunch of wimps.
The great thing about a hangover is that you know the day can only get better.

Or alternatively, sticking to (quite good) very dry champagne.
Had five beers, and a glass of mulled wine. Went for a 10 mile fell run the next day, and for the first hour felt crap...must have been the mulled wine
...if its not too late, I'd like to change my advice to 4 bottles of beer and no mulled wine.
...and dont run up hills for the first half hour too.
