Hey mine arrived too - Numero 81 - I only hope that the race day is not as hot as yesterday - cos I physically couldn't run anymore than 6 miles yesterday
I'm number 26 but I haven't really run since FLM so not sure about this one now. Did a 6.5 yesterday and almost fainted. Legs feel really fatigued too :-/
WA - Ah, but there is a difference between 'feeling' unfit and 'being' unfit. I really have done nothing other than 2 10k's since FLM and since those, if I've done 3M a week i'd be lucky!! Have done 8 so far this week with plans to run later today, tomorrow ans Sat ...... we'll see eh :-)
Although I'm sensing heat will be my main problem!!! Where do you reckon we'd blow up AA???? :-) Speaking of which, didn't see you at Wyre Forest Half this year!!! (I went to support and do a little 4 miler) not as hot as last year, but pretty tough!!
I've been training really hard specifically for this race as I only want to do it if I can beat the train. As it stands I'm pretty confident, but I do need the weather to be on my side.
Well Caz, I reckon we'd blow up at about 14 miles.
I did enter the Wyre Forest 1/2 but did not go as I was kanckered. Had driven to Yarmouth & back twice in the week preceding it (a feat in itself) and had done 4 x 14 hour days on top of all the driving. In the end I was sorry I didn't go but that week was not a good one and I needed to recover.
Done the Seaview 17 (really 20) on Sunday and managed 3:50 which is not too bad since I had not run more than 10 miles since the FLM.
I'm number 56 ,haven't really done enough miles so am looking to get round without wishing I were dead at the turn around.May even take my cam in a bum bag and take some snaps on the way round.

I think we're all nobs for paying good money to chase a train across the Welsh Countryside, you'd be locked up for that anywhere else .Still, what else would you rather be doing on a summer's afternoon?
WA, have you done Brecon before? I'm having a go so maybe see you there? we seem to do all the same races but never meet. look out for the PTH top. I've been told its hard so maybe just use it as a training run for Tywyn.
I did Brecon last year. It is hard from (I think) 5 to 9 or something like that. I'll look out for you. George reckons he may well be there too and if he is then he can point me in your direction.

Go on Caz, I'm feeling unfit too. I'm number 10 :-)

Hey, Fin. It's a bit like the bumble bee who doesn't know he can't fly ! More fool than hardy ;-)
Brecon 10 for me this Sun. Been out for 3 x 6 mile shuffles this week and believe me I am shuffling.
Last good run was last Friday, since then I've done a slow 3.7 (Sat) where I felt a bit tired and a 1.6 (Tue) where I gave up and walked back.
I'm taking steps to remedy this tiredness so on Sunday I should be fine. I definitely will be come train racing time.
