Smallish lawn, just laid (fnar), growing like topsy. Had its first cut by the chap who did it, now it's my turn in a week or so.
So I need a lawnmower, and I know nothing.
Manual (currently favourite), electric or petrol? Brands? Features to look out for?
Price matters, but will pay for decent quality.
Advice please!

Eco frendly.
Few chicken.........
1. You don't have to do it;
2. You can spend the money on something else;
3. You are helping encourage the local economy.
It doesn't cost much - £5 roughly. I know a guy that does it on the side and that's all he charges.
Thus suggest small wheeled rotary mower with a box on the back not the front.
Hover mower with box does not hover(got one in the garage)
Box on the front of mower bashes into trees, plants and/or fencing.
Petrol mower is just a huge pain and never flipping starts when you want it too AND it has the box on the front which is just stupid, wish we had known that before buying one ( (thats in the garage as well)
so, What NT said, no not the eclectic mower, that would just be silly.
The small wheeled rotary mower with a box on the back not the front
(Told you I know nothing)
Push-me pull-you manual cylinder seems the way to go. Zero emissions too (unlike me).
(And hover mowers are rubbish)
(the lawn I mean, not the mower)
Now what I need to find is someone to clean my windows.
Even in the daytime.
