I believe the Marlow half has some hills and is certainly harder than Henley which had oen very long hill. Hopefully the Holmfirth 15 should be a good grounding for this.
A very nice man in a green vest passed me at which point I don't know but I would like to thank him for his encouragement along the way. Didn't see him again but hope that he got around OK. I was the woman in the pale blue t-shirt
Hello CD and Clairster. Sorry I missed this one, I messed up my middle toe on my right foot in the yorkshire dales the day before. I think I stubbed it whilst wading through a stream with my boots off. Not the brightest idea, going trekking the day before a race. Even less bright wading through a stream which was fast flowing. How did you two get on? Should be okay for harrogate this sunday though.
Hello Christopher, I had to dash off for the tri club AGM after the race so couldn't hang about. Had a great race though felt very sprightly and expected to tire but ended up doing just shy of an even split. Guy Fawkes 10 this Sunday, I have a feeling I put a silly time down on the entry form...
CD - The DW10 was every bit as good as I imagined it would be - STUNNING scenery and a great undulating road circuit. I will deffo be going back as many years as I can manage in the future...
I know about the Lakeland Trail series, thanks. I would love to do one or more of them, but not sure if I'm going to manage any in 2007 (for various reasons) - maybe 2008...

Best of luck with the Derwentwater. I would like to do this race in 2007 so would be very interested in the feedback.
I've never done it before, but know the area well, and can't imagine how it could be anything other than FANTASTIC!
Will be happy to confirm this next Monday though...
If you like the Lake District and fancy a bit of trail running try the Lakeland Puma Trail Fox series, absolutely brilliant.

Best of luck for Guy Fawkes.
Off to Marlow half on Sunday.
Sorry to miss you.
