when i stopped eating sugary stuff - my energy levels really did improve and i stopped having cravings and slumps
but fruit is ok - do you like apples? i eat those little kidssized ones and can eat 2-3 a day and then 3-4 satsumas and if im more activ bananas
aim to eat 5 portions of fruit a day and see if it makes a difference

Unfortunately dried fruit has lots of calories (but is lovely).
Mixed seeds, pumpkin, sunflower and pinenut etc are very good for you. They are even better if soaked in water first.

you can soak oats in apple juice overnight, and add some seeds, a few chopped nuts or dried fruit
dried fruit - apricots raisins etc are good as full or minerals and ebnergy = but go easy on them- especially figs as they are very sugary
you can cook porridge in water - i soak it overnight in boiling water then microwave it for a few mins - in a big bowl-
you can add yoghurt - i use low fat natural bio yoghurt and a couple of spoons stirred into oats make them creamy
you can also have oats/porridge for supper/ snack too - fairly low calorie but good carbs and protein
