Well what a surprise! I have been, um, busy, over the last few weeks. Turn up at MJ's for first time in ages with my new beloved ( he asked to come running I didn't make him ) only to find a whole bunch of Radio Worcestershire's warming up! Only managed to introduce him to Rowan. Great to meet Mrs Wickett too :-) The new very gentle joggers is a great idea specially when you haven't been for yonks.
It fills up by early January (like the Wyre Forest 8) so get your forms in early. It's only a stone's throw (so long as I'm not throwing) from our new house so anyone running/spectating is more than welcome to come to ours for something warm and nourishing afterwards!
I also use the opposite argument from when I'm ignoring people. "When operating in my Lactic threshold (max heart rate), I'm unable to speak as my body is focused on getting the oxygen to my blood"
I explain this to people in the office, but they think I'm just being too grumpy to answer my phone. Pah! The uneducated buffoons!
It was good fun at Gentle Joggers last night, it was nice to see so many familiar faces. It was the furthest I have run for ages and I feel O.K. today! YAY! Sian & Mrs. Wickett were very kind and waited for me.
Boo, It was lovely to see you again, I am glad things are looking up for you. Do come on Saturday!
Barkles, Good on you for entering the Slog, you can eeeekkkk & wibbblllle for a whole year now!
Is Wayzgoose strictly adults only? Bit loathe to do anything without the children as I only see them Friday night to Sunday morning at the moment. Things are looking up a bit thanks Crashie :-)
Hello Boo xxx Sorry I only saw you for the briefest of hellos also. I did not realise you had new beloved in tow! Did you introduce the RWs to Sister of Boo? (That strange hardcore person who has decided that she would rather go rockclimbing and sleep in tent in december than stay in posh hotel in Hay on Wye with her new beloved!!)
Thos possibly DOrmington, tho I thought it began with L.
This forfeit for the stag - it has to involve benefit to us (for all the trauma we will go through supporting his dramatic path to next Nov, only for him to pull out at last minute)..
I'm guessing they probably wouldn't be up for the pub afterwards (although, if you asked them....), but I can't see why they couldn't pop along for a bite to eat. It is a buffet though - and can be pretty busy, so you may need a couple of those electric shock collars for when they wander off (assuming they're as contolable as mine!).
(I'll bring my shock collar - the one MrsW makes me wear when we go shopping)
<<scratches stubbly chin......, and there is some stubble and all - it's just that you have to look REALLY hard - and no, it's not biro. Well, not all of it anyway...>>
Badger - Dormington - I know someone from there. Big sis ran off too quick for introductions :-D Wickett - kids love the angel chef they tend not to wander off much now 6 & 8. Beloved definitely not santa. Definitley post puberty and I agree with everything Ro says:-)

Boo is back.
Does this mean you're coming on Saturday, Boo?
(who reads too much into things? Moi? Mes non....)
("Yonks" - it's been er......, 'a while' since I heard that last - you Sloane Ranger, you)
...do we assume that life is looking up a bit now? )
Wickett - I am learning your answer so I can reproduce it at any given moment. :-)

Sian.. erm none of those!!

I suggest a meal for all at the Angel Chef.
I met the beloved, he was lovely and jolly.
Was he Santa, Ro??
That's what Santa's like!! Did he have a beard?

Replace that with an proper word as you see fit.
Matt wants us to sign up for some 40 mile mountain marathon that takes place overnight in March to "make up numbers"
We are talking post-puberty, right?
<<scratches stubbly chin......, and there is some stubble and all - it's just that you have to look REALLY hard - and no, it's not biro. Well, not all of it anyway...>>
Oh and Boo, I don't mind if the kiddies come on Saturday.
Ro, Matt does remember he's signed up for a little jaunt in Austria in July, doesn't he?
Wickett - kids love the angel chef they tend not to wander off much now 6 & 8. Beloved definitely not santa. Definitley post puberty and I agree with everything Ro says:-)
You're sure he's not Santa?
<<sighs, sulkily>>
Dagnamit - I'm starting to doubt he even exists....
er, that's about it really )
