That'll be fun...I was about 2nd last out of the swim last time I did it...so I have a target to aim for...3rd last out...
went to the pool today and tried to see how fast I could do 25m...I couldn't get below 30 secs no matter what I tried...then as I was leaving I watched this guy...16 strokes to a length and about 20 secs per length...I fcking hate him...he just looked so strong and at ease...
I need to sort out my technique and get some training in...
Seeing as my life is now totally empty. Would you like to meet for some OW swimming on a Monday after work at Princes Lake some time?
sheesh....this is going to be interesting...I haven't swum OW since Vit 2005...and my first OW swim scared the sh*t out of me....almost as bad as Suffolk Punch...
Still...got to get in there some time so...I'll see if anyone else fancies a go...new thread time...
I am INCREDIBLY slow though....
You coming along??
....of relief....
I would love to come swimming with you FS but it's not worth my while driving down for a 300m swim.
Warm up, swarm up.
As you were.
I don't see how I CNBA to do a triathlon can be construed as sandbagging. I may well train a bit but I find it hard to get excited about anything other than the real deal. Never knowingly over-raced - that's me.
It really was a lovely run - you'd have loved it ;oP
As you were.
non-competitive, my arse
I bet it was lovely too, I'd have liked to watch Mr. M's arse disappearing off into the distance :oP
400m - maybe I'll come down then. Where is the lake and is it clean like the worthersee?
CRAB's never going to get the sandbagging award cos everyone knows about and appreciates all the effort he puts into the facial hair. Plus crabs don't like sand - they prefer rock pools - everyone knows that.
I train but I don't keep a log or owt so can't tell you how much and choose not to race very much cos I CNBA - doubt I've raced much more than 10 times since I got off my fat aerosol. If that makes me a sandbagger then so be it. If there's an award for it as a non competitive type give it to someone else.
As you were.
