You obviously don't remember the advert for Renault 5, which was all around "What's yours called?"....but then again, you are much younger than I am!!!
Our cars are Cougar, Passat and Corsa.
My bike doesn't have a name, but my laptop does :-)
It is funny how things disappear on this site, isn't it?
MA that the bf got lost during yesterdays medium length A category fell race... especially as the course was partially marked, in the places where you could possibly go wrong...!!!
Had us worried for a good 1 1/2 hours, but he appeared with the guys that were taking the markers down, just when I was setting off on a search party!
Han, I did the Midsummer Munro 2 years ago, which is a hard half on Box Hill. Ended up running for four hours all over the place. Not good.
My darts thread has disappeared too, asked them to move it from general running to clubhouse or delete it and it has gone. Might start a bingo thread later.
LOL, I shall start a Scrabble thread then, if there ins't such a thing already! Getting lost is not much fun and can be dangerous on the hills. Thankfully the weather and visibility was good. Needless to say he is not going to attempt this again!
IO am moderately annoyed that I did not beat NR this evening in the Swansea Bay 5k. In fact I did a pretty shitty 19:46, 17 secs slower than the last one.
It isd mini mini, but I have not swam since February and not been on the bike for 3 months so I think it will knacker me nonetheless :-) and never done one before, one has to start small, right? You feeling ready to rock and roll and try beat me in that swimming pool Alex? Have I told you that I only do breast stroke yet? There! That should cheer you up! You are not going to get last in the swim :-) But I suspect you are doing the full one anyway?
MA'd with life in general. Hate new job, still waiting for new cooker to be fitted, still nto received new pc, still don't know what bike to get, still not running properly and Beachy is getting ever closer.
WA - Warwickshire Sprint (same course as Stratford from earlier in the year) - 400m (pool), 23k, 5k. And seriously considering the rather large step up to Bala next year.
Kaz - sounds a bit rubbish in general. What's up with job? Let's see if we can put a positive spin on it...
Lots of things really but I suppose I just need to give myself time to get used to the job. I think the biggest issue is that as I get older I find it harder to be doing something I don't really want to do but I don't have any other experience or qualifications to change and financially I can't afford to change careers and start at the bottom again.
(((Kaz))) It will work out - you've not really had time to get used to the job and the people and it must be a shock returning to work after having had several months of making your own timetable and agenda. Stick with it for a while and then if you're still not happy, change - we work to live, not live to work.
I bring greetings from Dude, who has texted me from his hospital bed. He got bitten by some vicious Tiree insect and has bad swelling and a lot of pain. I think he is still managing to flirt with the pretty young nurses, though :-)
Get well soon, Dude. I'll send Moderate get well wishes to him on your behalf, shall I?
In the meantime, I wish you all a sunny pleasant day in Moderatesville.
Oh nooooooooooooooooooo! Poor poor Dude! Will you send him my best wishes please and a big hug ST or SVT? I react badly to insect bites of the wasp variety, so I really feel for him!
Comments
Nice one, SVT.
(I prefer Renault myself....what's yours called?)
Astra and Octavia, although I don't think I've given them proper names. Proper names are for bikes.

Oeps...
I couldn't believe it went on for so long. Didn't read the end bit though.

<gloom>
Not good :-(
If not, have a chocomilk and a pie.
Nope, you are quite right there SVT.
But chocomilk and a pie will help :-))
How is your day so far ?
At this rate I may even be able to survive the course.

The only breast stroke I do is .... anyway, I am soooooo slow I came last in the swim last year even behind all the dnf's.
SVT, which Tri are you doing then ?
Can I go home please? ;o$

That is plain awful! New job and you hate it already! As SVT says, what is wrong about it? Maybe we can help you to a better status quo with it?

ST - that's bad news about dude - thought he'd gone quiet. Will drop him a text (hoping it's the right number - ends in 6, yes?).
I'll send a hug later once the nurses have finished giving him a bed bath. That's going to keep him happy for a little while, don't you think?
