So far I think it has been the best World Cup ever for me. Better even than '99.
I am sure most Englishmen would vote for '03 but, as someone who generally prefers the 6 Nations, this is the first RWC which has really gripped me. Great crowds, good performances from the wee teams, and generally good rugby (scotland v italy excepted)
I don't think the Kiwis have shown their best form yet - they've been playing with the foot off the gas - the game against France will show whether they can go the whole way or not..........if not, I'll back SA...
most important though - who's going to get the Wales job??
It has been far more interesting, minnows teams putting up good fights, established nations looking shaky. Really thought France would win it this time.
What are the odds on Argentina? That would be hilarious. Either way NH teams need massive reorganisation.
Argentina have done well in that most people had them as underdogs vs France & Ireland. Now that they are favourites vs Scotland & people start assuming they'll make it to the semis, they might struggle. Scotland have a fantastic kicker (in comparison to how Skrela & O'Gara played against them in the group matches) so penalties will be converted.
The England team - oh dear. What has Dayglo done to deserve his place on the bench? What has Vickery done to deserve his place in the team?
It might (grasping at straws) be the time for NH teams to wake up this w/e. Wouldn't put much money on that though.
Have a feeling tomorrow will be the end of an era for French Rugby. M. Laporte is going off into politics and loads of players will be retiring. It's sad that it's (almost definitely) going to end in Cardiff rather than the team being able to say goodbye to their fans at home.
I presume there will be loads of Welsh in the crowd, will they be supporting NZ or France?
Having been a fully paid up member of the Bay Of Plenty Welch Society - Tauranga branch, (Meetings held every Sunday in Dai's converted garage, R' Draig Goch). I will be surporting the Kiwis. I feel sure that if Dai ever got married and his wife allowed him to keep the Welch society going, the police never cottoned on, The Draig Goch will be full of song for the game.
Could be England against the Boks - will make for an itneresting rematch if we play like we did today - got to get past France though that won't be easy. Still - I think we've got more chance than if the All Blacks had got through

Would tend to agree, dude, Boks looking good, ABs great in patches, we'll see.
oooops!
That's bloody daft that is.
One thing is for sure.....it won't be dull!

Argentina can win it.
Greece won the roundball World Cup by being strong and organised. So too can Argentina.
Plus they have a fly-half to maych Dan Carter.
I can't see it either.
But it IS possible.

Everyone sitting comfortably?
Yes!
What a result, what a terrific performance by the England pack.
Of course, if we fail to take our chances in the next game, we'll get moidered, but at least we stuck it up the Aussies
Keep the Faith
