Didn't know where to put this as I'm not really a beginner as such, but as someone who never ran before I was 37 I think I'll always feel a beginner really.
Anyway, today on mt half marathon plan I had to run 80 minutes (supposed to be 14k but I knew tht wasn't going to happen) I ran 80 minutes for the first time ever - finishing on a hill that at one time I couln't hope to get to the top of and I think it was about 12.5Km - I've only ever done 10.25 at the most before. AND I didn't feel like shit afterwards
I'm really pleased with myself as it was very cold and I do think I could have gone a bit faster and made it to the 14K in the programme.

Well done
Congrats on your personal endurnace record strawberry JAM
Onwards and upwards
You know that's what I love about these forums, there's so many people out there just willing to give you a pat on the back for having a go. It's great everyone appreciates what an effort it is.
Thanks everyone.
I've just got back from a 4 miler. It was cold and wet but it felt good. I live with 8 other girls, they didn't say "well done for getting out there despite the weather" they just snorted at me for being "mad" and shuffled off back to bed in there PJs.
It takes an effort to reach your goals so a big WOOP WOOP to you for reaching a personal goal and may you reach many more! Well done Strawberry Jam!
Well done Porky, and Strawberry JAM!
Feel proud, and encouraged to go further!
Well done Strawberry Jam on 80 mins, that's a brilliant result especially the hill at the end...
Well done Porky on getting out there on a cold wet miserable morning when it would be so easy to roll over and snuggle further under the duvet.
Well Done!!! Great job.
