On Friday the wife of a friend of mine was involved in a serious accident. Her car had gone off the road, we're not sure whether this was due to ice or due to a minor shunt, & as she climbed out another car hit her. She is in hospital in a medically induced coma with very serious injuries and is completely unresponsive. Her name is Ann (without an 'e'!), and if you are the kind of person who believes praying has any purpose, I'd appreciate you sending a little one up for her, her husband Dan, and their two young children Adam & Ingrid.
Thanks.

That's very sad Anne. Will send Ann and her family as many positive vibes as I can.
Here's hoping for better news soon
Really sorry to hear that, Anne - that's terrible news.
I don't pray, but I'll be sending positive vibes to Ann and her family, and I hope there'll be some good news soon.
Hugs to you too.

Update:
Last night Ann's intracranial pressure went up again. Her meds are maxed out, & so she is right now in surgery where they will remove part of her skull to allow her brain room to expand. In short, in medical terms, this is the last hope. The operation will take 3-4 hours, & if it is successful the removed piece will be reattached in 'a couple of months'.
We need a miracle (medical or otherwise).
poor family,
((((ANN))))
As it has been a couple of days since any news, can you tell us, how is Ann?
She is in the prayers &/or thoughts of many people on the forum, and her husband and young children too.
Ann has had a couple of very bad days. Despite the op to remove part of her skull, her ICP (intracranial pressure) continued to rise, and her lung function worsened. Yesterday she had further surgery, this time to put filters in a vein leading from her leg to her heart to avoid blood clots travelling there.
However, the news this morning is that her ICP is maintaining a level, & she has therefore been taken off the meds which manage this pressure. Her lung function has continued to worsen, & she's been started on antibiotics to try to avoid infections caused by the fluid build up there.
She remains in a coma, a full week since the accident, but the drugs which have been keeping her sedated have been withdrawn, so we wait to see what will happen.
Dan (her husband) says they're holding on to every bit of positive news they get.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers/good wishes etc. Please keep both going!
I'll update early next week, unless there is a change overnight tonight, as I won't have computer access for most of the weekend.
Thanks again.
Still thinking of Ann and her family tonight.
Hoping there's good news on here tomorrow.
Also still hoping and praying for Better news
God Bless..

Hi everyone who is thinking of/praying for Ann. Thank you.
Today she is off the meds which keep her in the coma, but it will take a little while for them to work out of her system. She has a pain reflex on her left side, & her pupils are reacting to light. More tests are being run today to try to assess her better. But basically a lot is still down to waiting.
We don't know what the future holds, but we have hope.
More as I get it.
Thank you again.
Ann did some new things in the past 24 hours. She now has basic reflexes on both sides and is breathing on her own over the ventilator, which suggests that at least basic brain stem functionality is present.
The medical team has begun doing wake up assessments each morning. In these tests, Ann is temporarily taken off sedation to allow the medical team to assess and track her level of neurological activity. This morning Ann did some spontaneous movement and responded to touch. Another milestone we are looking for is response to commands (wiggle your toes, open your eyes, squeeze my hand, etc.) which we haven't seen so far. Additional tests are scheduled for tomorrow. Much is still unclear, but each new thing that we do see during these early stages is an encouraging sign.
We have come a long way, and have a still longer road ahead of us. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Morning Anne,
Thanks for the updates about Ann.
Knowing sweet zero about these situations I can only hope that what sounds to me like good news is exactly that. As you say, the signs are encouraging & we hope & pray for many more of them.
Stay strong Ann!
Sending lots of healing thoughts, prayers & reiki to her. Its all sounding positive and encouraging so far.

Any improvement however small is fantastic news.We will all continue to pray and hope for better things. In fact if possible pray even harder for continued improvements
