I was out in my skin today .......i'm trying to harden myself up in certain areas...........the padding is nothing like my aldis cycling shorts..............but i wasn't in engerland though...........
My pirate kit is my race kit. The buff, jacket and gilet are the closest I get, because the buff is small, and the others are only visible from the front!
But hey, I'm old fashioned and not in with the in crowd.
It would feel like wearing a cocktail or ball dress to the pub.
It's only safe to wear the full stuff when in a crowd of pirates anyway. And by a crowd I mean more than 4. But even then it's safer to be in the confines of an organised race environment and not on the open road.
What is the term for a crowd of pirates, I wonder?
Comments
I hope it wasn't a big mean scary pirate after all these comments
I like my skin!
I wore it once, too.
And Balham is soooo not the place to be wearing a pirate suit anytime.
Very brave
Is anywhere other than an event the place to be wearing a pirate skin?
You mean you dont wear yours on dress down day Holly
I'll wear my pirate jacket but draw the line at that
I don't even own a pirate skin, but if I did there is no way on this earth I'd cycle in it, apart from in an event
even if I did live in wales
or engerland

nothing wrong with old fashioned if it stops you committing style suicide on your bike
I reakon a goldfinger esk skin tight gold catsuit would go down a treat Go on Holly you know you want to
so I am not allowed to wear my newly purchased gillet when biking.....??
(however its sooo hot this spring that I think the gillet is gonna stay in the cupboard till next winter).
1. Bit skimpy for April
2. Bit thin for April
3. Teensy bit Gaylord for the UK
4. See all 3 above.
This explains why I only race IM abroad - less likely to bump into people.
