I'm on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, and use them all in very different ways. Facebook I tend to keep for people I know in real life - it's a useful way to keep each other updated and to keep in touch, and simple to use if you ignore all the accompanying crap like virtual pints. MySpace I use mainly for music - most of my 'friends' list is made up of bands (it was through MySpace that I ended up in a FFAF video). Twitter is just a bit of fun which I use mainly to stalk my favourite rockstars.
The one thing in common is that they're all set to private so that only people I add/allow can access my details, and even then I'm VERY careful about what I put on there.
It's something I'm actually really interested in doing some proper research on, once some time frees up... no chance of that anytime soon *disappears again to get on with the phenomenal amount of stuff she has to do*
I'm on FB but rarely use it. Not too happy that people post pics of me without my persmission - can I change a setting to do something about that?
Twitter I use several times a day, mostly business related, driving people to my website or blog. Fun to read updates from celebs though and equally nice to get direct replies from a few including Lance Armstrong (he posts a lot!) and Tony Robbins
I'm not on RW nearly as much as was once upon a time and actually tend to look at the more running-related (shock horror) threads nowadays!
Well... LB.. I know all about your secret crush on Mikel Arteta and your penchant for going commando whilst wearing leggings... and your favourite perfume at the moment is 'Woman' by DKNY and you listened to Rhianna on your last morning drive; I'm not keen on your bedroom decor - I prefer the 'rustic' look rather than all creams and neutral colours... oh and stop leaving your keys under that flowerpot... very lax
Bit of a hunk.... hmmm... I'm not bad for a Sting lookalike I suppose... but bit of a hunk is stretching it.
I do believe I actually HAVE had that conversation about leggings at some point.....
My God Corrie - you're my stalker! My favourite perfume is J'Adore Dior though if you're buying and I never say no to Chanel No 5.
I warn you - I am exceptionally high maintenance....
Sezz - you can remove the tags from photos but I don't know about actually removing the whole photo. I did manage to persuade someone to take one down of me pushing a wheelbarrow in a miniskirt once - not pretty!
FFAF are Funeral For A Friend - I was in their video last year for this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQLeDhqUiAQ There's a close up of me at 3:12 Although admittedly that's of no use to people who don't know what I look like...
P.S. Sezz - you can change your privacy settings so that only you can view tagged pics of yourself. That only stops people on your facebook seeing them though. They'll still be there on the facebook of the person who posted them, and that's something I'm not entirely comfortable with.
That said, people post so many pics that I honestly don't think anyone really looks at them properly anymore. Some of my friends have literally hundreds, and it's just impossible to go through them all.
Just had my annual FB reinitialisation and sent you a message LB - You better be quick replying though, as I'm outta there in half an hour... before 'big arry' from B wing comes looking for me
I'm the 'billy no mates' of FB - sent invites to friends but none of them use it. We txt a lot but they're not into t'interweb thingy. "Messenger - what's that?" Hence my friends list isn't even in double figures
I see little point in inviting ppl from uni who I no longer keep in touch with. "So-and-so has 207 friends" ... suggest these ppl need to re-define what a friend is!
Twitter - I'm on that too though christ knows why... Again none of my friends and family use it but I follow some ppl on it using twitterfox.
On Twitter, I like following bikerater, jfriel, Alan Carr is funny, Jimmy Carr is very funny, Lee Boardman and David Schneider, oh and that Sezz woman too
Siance - there was a study done very recently that said no matter how many friends you have on FB, you probably really only TRULY have three that would fit the description of "real friend" (You know the ones who you can ring at 3am and they drop everything and rush round)
I reckon I have a few more than that, but not many.....
As for "followers" on Twitter - makes me feel like Jesus...
I think "contacts" might be a better word for both?

Wow!
(Adds to stalking list)
I've just logged into FB......
If that's a compliment... I'll take it...
Not worth me accepting you as a 'friend' LB as I'll not be on Fbook again for a long, long while...
Only when you wear red..
