Sat 30 May 11.30am ish. Potential spot - someone cycling past my house - Crouch End, N London - yellow cycling top with black stripes down the side spotted, rucksack obscuring the possible skull n crossbones.
I was going into my house with my pirate top on at the time.
Had a nice long ride at the crack of dawn before work, took in the sights of the A48, Ogmore, Bridgend, Treorchy, Ponty and Caerphilly - twas a nice hilly ride.
Only for another couple of weeks - short term (term time) employment. I'm looking forward to getting my weekends back and not working 7 days a week!
Really enjoyed the Bwlch. I wanted to get some hills in that were similar to IMCH or bigger. Except for a few parts it wasn't too steep so just kept had to keep spinning. The worst bit was a couple of suicidal sheep who jumped in front of me off the verge. Luckily I wasn't on the aero bars, otherwise it could've been quite messy.
I only ask because I thought I spotted someone during the Plymouth Half (and I don't mean the guy dressed up as a Jonny Depp pirate) but I wasn't sure enough to shout!
Rather fit looking guy with dark hair and doing a decent time because he was on his way back into town as we were leaving in the car from doing the schools' challenge.
Wonder who it was?
(where does one purchase such gear or is it for specialists only??)
FBGF - if you look on the tri page you'll see a thread about a kit order. Orders were meant to be in by the 31st May but you may just manage to sneak one in if you're quick.
I'm sure it was one! Only because I was about to shout 'pirate' to my husband but didn't as I figured the explanation would be too long and he'd been stood on the Hoe for nearly an hour holding our school sign
I spotted this rare pirate creature down here in deepest darkest Devon. She was fit and on a bike but was had 2 cans of guiness where water bottles normally go.....

A mate from work has emailed me the following :-
I was driving home last Thursday evening through Norton (just north of Letchworth) and I saw some really skinny bird out running in kit like yours !
Anyone want to own up?

No wasn't me. I don't think they could cope with the kit at my work.
Fidlas Road would be Rio cycling home from work!!

Spotted somewhere near Exeter.
This wouldn't by any chance be the "fit guy" you saw?
