Legs in Pain - don't be put off if you were expecting a 10K, it really is a very nice race and the scenery can take your mind off the distance. As has been said, the heat is really the only thing to watch out for on the day. If you haven't tried off-road before it's a great introduction.
I was convinced I'd entered this, then found I didn't seem to have, but DEFINITLEY have now! I'm one of those who has managed a PB at this one (last year) but if it is warm as 2005, I certainly won't this time!!
Forestplodder - we are SO lucky to live round here, and be able to run in the forest regularly. Whereabuts are you? Do you run with a club that takes part on the RR10 series?
It's a huge site Steve. They host New Forest Show there every year and that attracts thousands. Biggest problem if your coming down the M3/M27 will be traffic. If you come off at junction 1 (Cadnam) , I can guarantee it will be heaving between there and Lyndhurst on a Sunday morning. If you come off at junction 2 (Ower) and come into Lyndhurst via Colbury and Ashurst on the A35, you'll miss all the queues.
I'm entered for it though haven't yet run 10 miles since GSR last October! I hope I survive the course! I live in Barton on Sea so go into the New Forest nearly everyday and every weekend with my dog!
Will someone else be near/or at the back with me or is it generally a very fast race?
Diana - I will definitely be near the back having looked at the results - hoping for under 2 hours but the way my legs feel may be slightly different (and slower - they feel like lead at the moment.) I'm number 521
Because I'm an idiot and can't remember what I have or haven't done I have managed to talk a whole lot about this race without actually having entered (!) I had to email the organisers to check.
So if there is another kind soul out there suddenly overtaken by events who has a spare number in the coming week I'd love to take it off your hands.
I am also looking for a number. I thought I had entered this several weeks ago but mistakenly I hadn’t so if anyone has a spare number I would be grateful if you could drop me a message

This race has chip timing, so your time starts and ends when you cross the start and finsh line.
If you start some way back and have a faster "chip time" than some who started near the front, their finishing positions may be ahead of yours.
Mark - this is the nearest campsite to this race. Not stayed in it as we belong to the Caravan club and we are staying in Black Knowl campsite.

Mark - there is a map at www.chromedaisy.co.uk/nf10/map.html but its's very basic bearing in mind a lot of it is on forest tracks.
There is actually a new campsite at New Park itself which has only just opened. It's called Long Meadow. Website is www.newforestshow.co.uk/pages/long-meadow-campsite.htm

Hi chaps, if anyone has a spare number for this race I'd be interested in taking it off your hands, assuming I can square it with the organisers.
I think I must have managed to just scrape in before the race closed for my place, but unfortunately a friend of mine didn't and wants to run.
Many thanks!
Andrew
Number 127
Hi TG, how are you feeling now after our little training run yesterday
Andy - this could be your birthday.....
Do you still want a number?
I have a spare place and the organisers are happy for me to transfer it providing they are given the recipients details.
Roll up, roll up
Hi Limper - yes please that would be brilliant! Sorry if it's you that can't run.
I'll email you in about 30 seconds
Andy
Limper - you should have had a couple of emails from me now. Belt and braces I know but I've had problems with the PM email on here before.
