the idea behind your "great running technique" is neither new, nor unknown. Nor is it "great".
Have a look here - you might like it, some people treat Pose like a religion, taking everything Romanov writes and says as gospel. (And If you look hard enough, you might even spot your favourite Greek vases)
Of course the greeks on the vase were all sprinters and the technique you'd use for sprinting is somewhat different to the technique you'd use for distance running.
And no suprise about the first bit of their anatomy the little leppie looks at
Rob give it a try and youll find you can land with your front foot and toes comfortably.
Mister W the vases show the same running technique with a varied amount of power and stride length being applied. Technique in this instance being primarily landing with the front foot and toes.

I already land on my mid/forefoot thanks, but not in a stupid way like on the vases. You'd break your bloody ankle over striding like that

No they don't. They're stylised pictures of men sprinting. If you think you can determine a good running style from them then you're madder than everyone else thinks... and I can assure you, they already think you're as mad as a box of frogs.
No meaningful comments pertinent to the thread only insults and dubious remarks about some great artwork. Im glad youve acquiesced that to land with the front&toes is a superior technique to heel running.
Well lard obviously not that amount in that time nor is weightloss something i profess to be knowledgeable on. However front foot&toes running technique does give a more athletic build in general.
The strengthening of inhaled capacity (see my work Alpha) further develops athletic physical stature.
Ricky, forefoot running is not new or revolutionary. If you had bothered to read the forum, instead of spamming it, you would have found numerous threads on the subject. Both Pose and Chi Running advocate fore or mid foot striking and have been discussed at length on the forum. Our research of your postings on other forums indicates to us that you're a nutter, not someone serious about dicussing running. So either f**k off or stick around and we'll continue to take the p*ss out of you.
I do run on my forefoot but it hasn't given me an athletic build, and to be honest i don't see how it could change my underlying bone structure, which by nature is quite heavy set, I've got child bearing hips.
So i will never look like a distance runner, anymore than some of the whippets will ever look stocky.
Maybe you could advise me as to what i should be wearing to run in, in this cold weather, should i run in the true spirit of gymnos?
I too run on my forefoot but don't take long strides otherwise I would land on my heel
the art work you refer to is stylised and is painted to represent running as an athletic ideal in Greek culture not a direct representation of running technique
a quick google and I couldn't find a single race result with his name on..........his advise doesn't seem to work if he hasn't finished a single race.......
Footwear id advise for running in the front foot&toes technique would be flat soled and flexible. Also its advisable to try to minimise the back of the shoe pushing or cutting into the achilles tendon- this is however hard to do given modern shoe design.

Then, however, you should take a look at a more objective assessment
I find to use this technique effectively you have to hold both hands in the air and only run through fields of tulips whilst singing....
it does look pretty painful though, surely if you were striding that far ahead you would practically land on your heel anyway.
Of course the greeks on the vase were all sprinters and the technique you'd use for sprinting is somewhat different to the technique you'd use for distance running.

Ricky think someone got there first
Hope you weren't planning a patent

Ricky, can you advise me how to lose 3 stone as soon as possible, if i can lose it by next week, that should be fast enough.
Many thanks in advance Lardarse.

Your choice
love a bit of troll baiting!
as someone else mentioned, its not physically possible to stride as far as you can AND and on your forefront.
long strides = heel landing.
keep it up though Ricky - having a v dull first day back at work.
