I bought a christmast tree bauble at Hampton Court this week. However, I suspect they are on sale all year to appeal to the US market. It is purple, gold and sparkly and I am not at all sure it has made it home in one piece.
I love this time of year. I actually like it when the nights start drawing in and it start feeling a bit more autumnal, and then you get the build up to christmas. I wouldn't decorate until december, but I don't mind things starting to come in. And you can't really go wrong with a big tin of chocs for a fiver
Aaaaargh! "boxed mince pies" - go wash your mouth out with soap and water. Abominable things. My OH bakes the most incredibly scrumptious mince pies, even my nephew who says he doesn't like mince pies, scoffs ours.
Christmas? Noooooo....please let me have my birthday first!
when it all gets a bit OTT, I just fantasize about going off to a lovely chalet, with an open fire, just the one person I would really like to spend Christmas with.
Skiing on Christmas day, in a fluffy layer of new snow with the sun shining in a blue sky.
The trouble is, that's not HIS idea of the perfect Christmas

Is there a suitable punishment for someone starting a C-word thread early September?
In our office, the first person to mention the C-word has to organise the Christmas party. --- a job nobody wants.
Are you serious???
My winter holiday planning is in full swing... but not C-word shawping.
Edited as Firefox doesn't like the smilies today.

I like Christmas, I really do.
I just hate all the hype, and most of all the anxiety of where and with whom you will spend Christmas.
I'm already dreading it, because by this time last year my mother had got a a pre-emptive strike in and I'm just waiting for this years demand
I could beat her to it, but I don't WANT to be playing that game, and planning what I'm doing fifteen weeks hence yet!
Don't tempt me Nam......
