Didn't get that run last night Gaz. By the time I got home, settled the kids then sat down for ten mins I couldn't get up again..it had already gone 9pm so I gave up. Looking forward to getting home at a normal time tonight and hitting the road!
BBB, yeh 9pm is a bit late for going out running, I dont like running in the dark, I run mostly on country lanes and they are dangerous enough in the daylight, I am sure some drivers think they are on a time trial in a rally, they put the willies up you sometimes.
Hope your weather is better than mine, high winds and lashing rain, glad not running today.........
Hi all. Wish this weather would go away. It is spoiling my anticipation of Brighton on Sunday.
Feeling a happy snail. Lost 3lbs last night so must be doing something right and my running has taken a mini leap forward in stamina so I hope it stays that way at least till after Sunday. I even avoided the cake at a coffee morning this morning. Why can't all days be like this?
I'm not that keen on the wind but I usually enjoy it in the rain, there is something about jumping in puddles, its a bit like jam butties, playing conkers watching Tom & Jerry...all things I still do!
It's OK, Glenn, I'd seen that pic BEFORE sending my cheque off. Someone I met at Bells of Pattingham told me that the river is near the end, so it will wash the mud off our legs.
Bogging weather here again today. It's still dark outside. Real S.A.D. fodder. I wonder if that's why I feel like hibernating with a mound of chocolate bars? Excess sleep, carbohydrate craving...help! I've got an ICD-10 classified mental illness on top of my personality disorder!
Gaz, you lucky creature. I love Durham. My sister lives there. Even the less-than-salubrious school in which she teaches sounds a lot nicer than the ones in Brum.
Having said that, I would still exercise and run - just not as often. However, I would not have found out that I do like running had I not been severely overweight and wanted a way to speed up weight loss and tone flab generally.
Yes I love living in Chester- le -Street, about 6 miles out of Durham, I moved here from Leeds in 1986, I dont think I would ever move back again........
And recently the phrase should be- It's not often you get a live Leeds game on the telly when they win!
I'll have all my bits crossed, and may give instructions that I can be interrupted with a 'very important call', should we actually score. If they score, then it's best I don't know.
SR I used to go to Elland Road when I was a kid to see Leeds in the good old days, ie
Alan Clarke, Billy Bremner, Mick Jones, Gary Sprake, Norman (bites ya legs) Hunter, Paul Madeley, Jackie Charlton, and so on, what a team..........................
V-rap, as it's in the Black Country Benz might not be able to understand a word they're saying. I was drinking Banks's when I was in Shrewsbury last week.
Oh yes, Leeds fans, I remember Gary Sprake in that cup final against Chelsea <snicker>.
I went to Elland road in the early 90's when I was a student in Leeds. As we turned up without tickets we got hearded into the Chelsea away section (not a problem as neutrals). The atmosphere was a little 'intimidating' to say the least!

Too far away from Durham......

Gaz - but you're not in such close proximinty to the mighty Whites any more
:¬(
Gaz
Came to work this morning, made sure my tele could get a decent picture on C5 - then found out I have to leave for a meeting at 3.30. ;¬<
SR
have you set video at home ?
Its not often you get a live Leeds game on the telly.........
Wonder how Benz is doing?
Hope they do trial by gin instead of trial by sherry.
Since it's in the Black Country, it's probably trial by Bawnks's Bitter.
Bet she's got them round her little finger by now.
No video (shock horror)

SR
ah but then you worry becuase you hadn't been interrupted could mean they'd scored loads & you hadn't
BBC Sport Online usually have live text updates for when you get back to your desk (unless you've got a neat PDA you can have on in the meetings)
Alan Clarke, Billy Bremner, Mick Jones, Gary Sprake, Norman (bites ya legs) Hunter, Paul Madeley, Jackie Charlton, and so on, what a team..........................
Even if Leeds go through all the decent sides have just joined the competition and they will not last long!
Anyone enetered the Leeds Abbey dash?
Oh yes, Leeds fans, I remember Gary Sprake in that cup final against Chelsea <snicker>.
[shandy drinking southerner quietly gets coat...]
Cheers :-(
