You body is a complex biological machine and you need to treat it as such and listen to it for any tell tale signs of ware and tear as you would any other machine
Also it needs
Good quality fuel – high in carbs low in fat TLC – provided by the wife Twice yearly servicing – Holidays Regular Maintenance – Trips to the sports therapist A good kick to get it going in the morning – also provided by the wife And A good wash and wax – prior to a Friday night out
Not been posting today (much) as I've had to do some work for a change...
Glenn: I sincerely hope you weren't seriously equating Shrewsbury with the Black Country! If so, go to the back of the class.
WW: Like the new piccy, but I'm still trying to figure out what it is? At first I thought it was from 2000AD, but I don't think that it's quite right.
I listened to my body last night on my way back from the Fast Show: it said "Feed me" so I did. And today I've been feeling very guilty for feeding it with a kebab coated in chilli sauce.....I'm sure it's done my weight loss a power of good though!
Never thought of my body as a "Complex Biological Machine" before....
Your program sounds very technical to me, I just run 4 times a week, never tried much of that fartlek and the other types which escape me for the mo, I just do 1 long run, 2 medium runs and 1 fast short, thats about as complex as I get......
Sorry dont mean to go on, just trying to pick brains......
Mr A, do I come across as a man who would confuse chalk with cheese, or for that matter Cambridge United with a football team? I was simply in Shrewsbury, halfway through a 320 mile round trip, drinking Bank's prior to watching our miserable bunch of ******* get humilated by a load of carrot crunching ***** ********.
I don't think I'm quite ready to talk about this yet...I don't even LIKE football...
I'll make this quick, as my ability to communicate on the internet will probably disappear anytime now.
Benz, I'm sure you'll be on later. Hope everything went well and i'll check back tomorrow.
My weigh in went better than I hoped for - 13st 6lb!!!!!!! That's about 12lbs off since the Great North Run and more importantly my trousers are begining to feel rather looser (which creates more problems than it solves, but hey that's why we have stores departments).
JJ, I'm doing Suicide Six with V-rap instead. Though Brighton was a bit flat:-)
I met forumites at a recent half marathon - the only thing I can say is that it's easier to talk if you already know people from the forums. I'm a bit shy really.

Sassie will you be wearing your dog collar?
I met forumites at a recent half marathon - the only thing I can say is that it's easier to talk if you already know people from the forums. I'm a bit shy really.
However, just in case........ I will be running my own church, instead of 'just' being the curate.
Looking forward to seeing you too, JJ.
Hi Glenn, how was your day?
No, JJ, no dog collar! It makes me too hot at the best of times.
Brain like a seive sorry :-)
sassie will you be "doing" christmas in your new church? I might just come to your carol service.
I think the idea of running your own church is really cool. I've always admired those who do it.
help!!!
Start in April
We all had all things crossed for you today and you even had your own thread.
Well Done!!!!
