To start off:
Always have a recovery drink after a hard or long training session-I drink the slimfast ready made shakes, which taste wonderful and allow me to train the next day.
In my experience when doing a speed session it's the last few seconds of sheer discomfort that make the difference, push through this to make progress!
More to come later!

You know like always wearing socks with seams inside out so they don't rub.
im a crap runner
er, goto the loo before your run??
(I'll think of something a bit more sensible when I've had a drink, Hilly!)
consistency consistency consistency.
Not sure im ready for that yet
So no RH's then Lizzy. I much prefer running tights to tracksters anyhow!
I'll second that Pammie!
Running tights ... much better
I found about five pairs of RHs at the bottom of my running clothes pile the other day, had them for yers, completely indestructable ... wish they weren't!
They chafe as well!
The second run got better as it went on, but when I started it I felt as though my legs were made of wood!
Wear bright colours if you run when it's snowing - visibility in snow is terrible, just as bad as when it's dark. Orange, yellow and red are all good!
and adidas leggings
er
Dont compare yourself with others
youll just feel inadequate
Don't wear cotton t-shirts they get so cold when wet. If you do wear them use them over the top of a long sleeved wicking top in winter for extra warmth.
but vary my sshoes??
scared
Doing Doubles - 10m AM (slow) / 8m PM (fast/tempo)
Running economy - Run fast pace on treadmill and watch yourself in the mirror. Try keep shoulders relaxed (not moving sideways) and head calm (not moving up and down). Make sure that you do not hear your feet when you run. Don't run like a dinosaur, more like an antelope
I also love my gilet on windy days, keeps the body warm without overheating.
Don't race in training.
If you wake up one morning feeling terrible take an easy / rest day.

If you can't be bothered running, run anyway - you'll be glad you did.
On every run, know why you're doing it - speedwork, endurance, etc. Pure enjoyment is a valid reason.
Make use of (faster) runners to test your form. Pick randomly three occassions when you dramatically increase the pace hehehehe
Whilst on kit - don't let the weather be excuse for missing training, have comfortable good quality kit for all conditions. Anyway, you'll feel 10 times as virtuous after running in bad weather (i.e. from now until next May.)

What is it the russians say
"there's no such thing as bad weather just unsuitable clothing"
(not sure on exact wording but it's something like that)
Never take a lift if there is a flight of stairs available
Don't take the car if you can walk, cycle or jog just as easily.
