has anybody else had an unplanned break from training and piled weight on ?? I've just had nearly three months off training and whilst planning how I'm going to train for outlaw this weekend , decided to weigh myself !! I have eaten pretty much the same but knew I'd put on weight obviously with clothes etc . But didn't realise I'd put on two stone !! Really gutted now as I feel I have to virtually start from the beginning again with all the hard slog , sorry I weighed myself now !! Has anybody else done similar ? How long did it take to get the weight off and get the fitness back as I'm now worried about the time scale to outlaw

You've got plenty of time to do it before outlaw and once you start training again it'll come off fairly quickly. Fitness and weight aren't equally aligned anyway, there's plenty of very fit people around who aren't racing snakes.
Fitting into kit's a good incentive and a good way of seeing the difference.
No, it's got to be a saveloy.
I still have ribs from my marathon training, but they're getting fainter by the pint, I mean day.
At last Gertie and Razor talking sense Argue over the curry sauce or gravy on the chips, it's far more important.
I haven't had BBQ ribs for ages. They're just too much faff to eat.
Tonights 4 pudding dinner probably didn't help either.
I said it isn't always. You can be a stone over weight but still have the fitness to complete an endurance event easily, doesn't mean you'll be fast enough to win it. I swim with people who you would probably say need to lose weight but are quite happy swimming 5 miles in none to shabby a time.
4 puddings? I'm in awe.
