Please vote for me (knight rider) in the PB category of the Asics Target 26.2 competition.
I have been a Club athlete for 8 years and have been lucky to steadily progress in the shorter races up to Half marathons. Two years go I took the plunge and stepped up to the marthon distance and managed 3.22.10 at the Virgin London Marathon in 2010. Since then I have been trying to get that elusive sub 3.15 time, but unfortunately with no luck. My PB's at shorter distance certainly suggest a better marathon time and I am hoping with the guidance of Steve, Sam, Sarah and the Asics & RW team I can achive my goal.
PB's this year as follows:
5k: 18.38
10k: 38.38
6 miles: 37.35
7 miles: 45.19
(I also ran a 1.25.50 half marathon in the run up to the Brighton marathon this year)
Any questions, please feel free to post them on here and I'll try and answer them.
Thanks.

What Nam said... because you're a regular.
Me too - same reason as above
Totally agree and have voted for you accordingly.
You are a regular, interesting and fun contributor to a number of threads on here and have been for a long time. You therefore deserve this opportunity - Good luck!!
Thanks for the votes guys, really appreciated.
I was going to change my name to a more seasonal one but thought it might confuse things a bit - maybe next week.
Just back from the running Club, a bit thin on numbers tonight due to the races at the weekend , vut hopefully mnaged to drum up a bit more support. Steady 7 miles tonight at 7.24 pace, with a mixture of 8.xx to start with building up to some 6.3x min miles in the middle. To be honest there a few guys doing a half this Sunday so they were holding back a bit.
14 miles for the week so far and hoping to get up to mid - lates 30 by the end of the week.
Well I have voted for you too
For no other reason that you have been around awhile have a god sense of humor
Normally I go for the best looking
Edited because of piss poor speling
I'd like to balme my bad spelling on predictive text, but that would be well, predictable.
What were you going to edit your name to? Sleigh Rider? Nice session tonight!
Did you hear the one about the dyslexic devil worshipper? He sold his soul to Santa.
Nice to see a regular on the list, voted, good luck.
Wardi, Saint Michael Knight Rider was one idea, Silent Knight Rider another, but do like the Sleigh Rider!
Hi SuperCaz, I'm normally found on the sub 3.15, Brighton & Chester marathon threads and tend to drop into interesting New discussion threads when I can think of something funny to say or even give advice where I can. I was on the Mundane thread for a while but it was too interesting!
A few random facts about myself:
Despite my height I used to be a county champion at Long Jump
I was born in Belfast, but don't have an Irish accent, although when I sneeze it has an Irish ting to it!
I mostly drink green tea & Jasime at work,
The great marmite debate - don't touch the stuff
I like fig rolls & ginger nuts and when I feel posh have the ones with chocolate on (ginger nuts not fig rolls).
Although I do like dogs, I won't be posting any pictures of them
A bit quiet on here. Thanks to all those that have voted for me so far.
If you are still undecided, you can ask me pretty much anything.
Watched last Friday's episode of The Walking Dead (FX) last night, absolutely brilliant. Can't believe there is going to be a 6 week gap till the next set of the series?
As a Mundanie, not sure that I'd agree with your assessment of our thread.
Still, as the others, you get my vote because you've been around the block a bit on here and given before you've taken (assuming you'd win your category).
I know it's not supposed to be house rules, but still. . .
Thanks Fraser, I'll do my best to report most things, although not sure about any dirt being uncovered from RW!
Jeepers, will have to check back in the mundane thread to see what's going on.
Day 3 of the voting process and I started off the day with the plank to start building my core work. Managed to hold it for count to 100 and will build up to a couple of sets. Interesting talk from Sarah at the Bootcamp day last week in Birmingham about the importance of core work and how it can help your running posture and thus enhance your running. I did use the plank in my last campagian but want to add in some more exercises to compliment the plank and further build up strength.
If you are still undecided about who to vote for in the PB hunting section, please feel free to post any questions.
Thanks
Please vote for Knight Rider - PB Hunter
