should i choose one myself (have no strong preferences) or will someone tell me where i should go? would really appreciate someone handing me some jelly babies at mile 17!!!
Another looking for a welcome with arms, open rather than loaded.
I haven't posted my name before because I'm a bit slow on the uptake, and irregularly in and out of here. Anyway, I'm running, and would love someone to hand me gels and throw water over me at mile 17! Any takers?
Cheers, SuperCaz! I'll find your thread and figure out what I have to do. Contacted SBH and she was happy with anyone who could picking me up, so I'll see you in there. Hopefully my needs will be light and simple...
One thing that I asked on my group thread was: Is there anything that the runners can bring the supporters for your trouble (e.g. jaffa cakes/beer etc).... to be able to keep you occuped whilst you're waiting for us?
I'm planning to write my number on my arm so I don't forget
Nothing special for me (I'll probably bring a flask of coffee or check out where the nearest Starbucks/Costa/etc is) but thank you so much for asking x
Emmy, there is a general request for money which we can use to buy some of the supplies for the runners so that we don't ahve to drag 20 tonnes of jelly babies from all across the country.
I will be making the supporters a cake. It's tradition. Cake goes everywhere with me.
We'll be popping in as usual.- drinking far too much and cheering excitedly. There's a supermarket very close to the support point so the supporters usually fair pretty well.
(I've not read back, it is in the same place as usual etc isn't it?)
Yes, it's the same spot. This year I have remembered that the supermarket doesn't open until 11. Every year we are queuing up outside at 10 as we always forget.
Some of you will no doubt know a lot about us , some may not
So, to say -
We as already stated hope to get to Mudchute to have a day of fun
But my day will depend on Philip’s behaviour, as he is most content on the move, and not so much us being static
He sadly does not give me much chance to socialise with anyone, he really craves my attention , Philip can be extremely demanding, he can do very little for himself, and he cannot talk he shreaks
So, please if I appear to be ignoring anyone or not interested, I’m sorry, I’ll do my utmost best to be respectful and polite and sociable to you all , but my life is easier when he’s happy
I myself would so much rather be running, and its only due to London marathon bosses that we are not
So, my apologies are given up front,
I do hope you all have a fabulas day
If there’s is anything you’d like to know from me, then please feel free to ask, online here or on the day, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you
Nearest coffee is at Asda 5 mins walk away, or you can hop on the DLR for 2 stops to Greenwich and there's a Costa and a Starbucks (and an M&S food if anyone has a sudden Percy Pig craving).
Could I request a group please? I had a group the year that it hailstoned and I remember it cheered me up no end to have someone (Aitch!) give me a hug and some Jelly Babies
I can't believe I only just saw this thread! What a wonderfully sweet idea.
I'm a runner - not asking for any supplies or anything, just a motivational lifting cheer as mile 17 is pretty far down the course Can I please be added to the list?

Oh Gladrags I'm so sorry!!! I worked off the last list in the thread so it may be that there's been some omissions in copying and pasting
Like Rob says, rock over to the Wicked One's, we'll welcome you with open arms!!

Anyone want to welcome another runner? Family can't make the race so I'll be lonely
i'm always lonely
i'm bleeding
Sister Bad Habit has told me to linger on this thread until someone adopts me!..... *waits patiently*

The lovely supporters will attend to you whilst I am stuck in Fawlty Towers, more chance of decent service and edible food at Mudchte.
Mick, to have you and Philip there woul be the biggest bonus, no apologies necessary.
