M.eface. I'll be at Brighton to throw you ice cream. I stopped at Mile 16 for a Strawberry Mivvi at Brighton the first year. It was bloody marvellous.
I think my VLM place is going to end in deferral this yr. haven't really got the base and have a chest infection that makes me sound like Les Dawson in drag and elevates HR to 110 in the shower. It's been like this for a week and is getting worse. <sigh>
GB sorry to hear your news. The special boot must be a nice consolation. Qualifying your injury by way of a nasty bruise, audible click / cracking noise or in your case a hospital visit and a token to prove it, is always nicer than having to ham up a limp so the less adventurous folk out there sympathise and understand your pain. All the best for swift recovery.
There's so much lurghy around at the moment, I know so many people with chest infections! After shaking mine off last week I've been squirting that First Defence up me nose .. hope it helps!
HC hope you get better soon, your base will be fine but a marathon could put you back further if you are not fully recovered
GB .. I badly sprained mine last year, wasnt off running for too long but lost a lot of flexion (and confidence) and off road was a no no for a while Have they set what grade it is?
Thanks guys. No meldy they haven't, it's big and purple though... and they said so keep it in the plastic leg support whilst walking for upto two weeks, I also have an appointment in 2.5 weeks to see how it is getting on
Gutted because I had a good chance of winning I think if I hadn't have tumbled!
I know it's wrong but its good to read about the b lagging. Having a one year old (on 21st April!) consistently infect me with boyish manflu since xmas I will manage my longest run of 15 miles this week having missed 5 weeks of training. I would love to do 5 hours!

I can very easily adapt the plan to include a pub GB ... sorry to read of your ankle woe's mate, although i do think you are taking the easy way out and that you should have transferred to the wheelchair event . lightweight
