Horrible horrible horrible. !!!!!! 3.30.14 so missed out by 14 secs. Still considering the conditions I'm pretty pleased. The cumulative effect finally caught up with me @22 miles. Oh well as Dora the explorer would say "I did it"
Hi everyone- yes online tracking can be quite exciting. My garmin had me at 3:52:25, and I set it off a couple of secs early just to be save, so I reakon about 6.40 Pb. Horrendous weather and was more like a offroad mudfest in places. It was he'll out there, but you guys keep me going, oh and the beetle juice. I'll give you race report later, and well done to the MKers, do we know how USB has done?
I'm still trying to find a way to join you at TM. Don't despair. I hope there will be some cheapo flights nearer the time so I could fly in Sat, run on Sun and make a dash back home on Mon. If I left Mr Chick at home it would be loads cheaper as in just one flight ticket instead of two
Yes, Chick leave him at home! I'm leaving Mr Minni at home and I only live an hour away. I still have to break it to him that it will be a 3 day weekend!!
USB has finished according to fb. I'm sure she'll be along soon...
Hey - quick geek update from the Garmin - completely even splits 1:46:10 first half 1:46:21 second half. At last I have paced a marathon properly. Must get back to my bubbly now. Will report back in full later.
Really well done everyone! Glad I spotted Ant but shame I didn't see anyone else as you must have run straight past - was really difficult spotting people as lots of bunching to shield from the elements & obscured numbers.
Really made up for you Mr Z, Cooks, Ant, Mark & Simon! Fingers crossed for Kev & USB. My friend got 2.58 so finally got his sub-3 too. He said at least he didn't have to worry about over-heating!
I actually found it really therapeutic cheering all of the runners on - am definitely over VLM now. Just got back from a 10K. Went flat out but legs didn't respond. So over it mentally but not physically perhaps!
PS. Ant - you looked in great shape when you went past so knew you'd have a strong last few miles. You looked a darn site better than a lot of people, that's for sure!
And well done Cooks and Mark D, such brilliant running in difficult conditions!
I have managed to avoid any school work till now, too much excitment checking the results on here and have been thinking about autumn marathon training, looking at and comparing P+D's 55mile schedule to the 55-70m schedule, hmm.
sorry missed off cooks, 3.26 in all of that was fantastic.
missed seeing Redwood too, had an extra layer on which hid my number which I planned to discard but never got round to it, but well done for sticking it out in the conditions.
enjoying a beer now, it will take some time to report on everything that was going on out there today!

Bro - blimey, that was some long run. Well done! Imagine, the next time you run 20+ will be marathon day!!

Bro, don't think the 2013 date is up yet, but it's usually at the beginning of September.
check out the link - made me laugh out loud
The world's booziest marathon
Fantastic lack of shitness! Well done on the PBs Ant, Mr Z and Cooks particularly given the conditions and a potentially long course
Mark, distance adjusted 3 sub 3:30s. Well done!
Looking forward to the various reports.
Cheers, ant
Chick-lol... it's very appealing
Ant- very impressive pacing, spot on! Enjoy the well deserved bubbly.
Great day out for Team Minni
Can't wait for Town Moor
I have a plan for VLM 2013. There are 80 pubs along the route. If we just had a cheeky half in each.....

Brilliant Kev! That's another pb!
Well done on your long run today Bro.
Kiwi - I don't know if you need to go up in the mileage - perhaps just change some things around?
Spoons - I can't wait for the TM either!
How great is this thread that everyone has run a marathon pb so far???
Looking forward to all your gruesome reports.
